“Outstanding B & B in Savannah Historic District”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2014

Jackie and her staff at the Zeigler House Inn do an outstanding job making your stay comfortable and memorable. Our room (one of seven available) was well appointed and met all our needs. This B & B is located within easy walking distance of most downtown Savannah historic attractions and fine restaurants. We had free parking for our car and were just a half block from the Mrs. Wilkes' Dining Room. A specially arranged presentation by well known storyteller Shannon Scott was one of the highlights of our visit while staying at the Zeigler House Inn. My wife and I highly recommend this facility.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent however those on the second floor or above require access through a long fli...

What a treasure. The Zeigler House Inn is excellent as is Jackie, the wonderful host. Jackie's home made breakfast pastries are unbelievable and should be on sale!

Excellently located, fantastic rooms, reasonable price. The bed was really really good, i usually don't sleep well in new beds, but slept like a baby on the first night.

Jackie has created the best B&B I have ever stayed at. The Zeigler house is an amazing survivor and a credit to Jackie who is its present caretaker.

Room Tip: We chose a room on the top level, but everyone we met loved their rooms.

:
Why stay at a hotel when you can stay on the magnificent Jones Street?Jackie is an innkeeper extraordinaire, thinking of every detail. We especially enjoyed taking our in-room breakfast to the veranda and the weekend wine party with real Sanvanna folk telling it like it is. You probably cannot go wrong with a room choice. Jackie gave great dining advice, remembered my birthday with cupcakes, though they were not as good as the daily pastries. Loved the well stocked fridge, the location and the bed was so comfortable we wanted to take it home.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Zeigler House Inn and thoroughly enjoyed every minute we were there. We literally had the whole place at our disposal. Miss Jackie is a FANTASTIC chef, and a wonderful hostess. The h'orsdeuvres on Friday and Saturday evenings were great, and OH MY GOSH, the pastries she makes from scratch are out of this world !! It was also very nice to return in the evenings and having a nice glass of Sherry and relax in the parlour. I liked the fact that we could eat breakfast in our rooms at our leisure, rather than having to go downstairs and eat with a group at a designated time.We will absolutely go back!!

Room Tip: They have street access rooms, but we stayed on the third floor above the main parlor.

Location is spectacular!! Accommodations terrific. However, its Jackie that makes this an exceptional experience. Beautiful old Savannah home on Jones street within walking distance to all locations in historic downtown. The baked goods became a highlight of surprises each day! Her hospitality and willingness to be available and helpful are beyond description. Others had commented on street noise but we did not hear a thing! We left out of Savannah late and Jackie was more than willing to make adjustments to help us. The weekend storyteller/happy hour was fun and informative. The refrigerator in our room was overstocked and baked goods showed up daily after the room was cleaned daily

Bless you so much for such a wonderful review. As you know the last 6 months has not been easy trying to keep up with the inn while dealing with my chemo treatments. The one thing that has kept me going is the wonderful people I get to meet on a daily basis. The support and encouragement from my guests has been a true blessing. Thank you and all my wonderful guests for the beautiful comments!

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Zeigler House. We got a gracious welcome with a good overview of the city and nearby restaurants. Our ground floor room was comfortable, with a nice back courtyard area where we could eat breakfast. Although there was not hot breakfast, the pastries and baked goods were great (and more than the two of us could eat). The bed was very comfy! Easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see!

Great location, super staff, perfect room; what's not to like? Jones Street is one of the prettiest in the entire Historical District. We had one of the ground floor rooms and would recommend it highly. We never had anyone "peering in". Totally self contained with refrig (stocked with juice, water, yoghurt), microwave, coffee pot and fresh pastries daily. Couldn't do justice to them, however. Nice little patio area outside the back door. Great orientation to Savannah on arrival, thanks Tonya and Jackie, and an antiquing map later, thanks again. Don't miss the Crystal Beer Parlor two blocks away. We ate there twice.
