“Fair accomodations”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

Stayed overnight on return trip from Florida. Arrived at 6:30 PM with reservations and 2 different rooms were assigned to us- and when we entered- were not ready. Waited about 15 minutes for cleaning staff to clean a 3rd room. Room was comfortable, however the room (especially the drapes) could use an update. Staff was very accomodating and apologetic. Very good location .

Located right off I-95 near Savannah, this is the perfect half-way stopping off spot on our trips to Florida. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly and nice and rooms are comfortable. Plus they put up with our critters (Little dog and parrot!

This is a good hotel for staying over one night. Price was right ($70). Convenient for travelers because it is just off I-95. Our room was large and clean. Good internet connection. But we were in Building 3, second floor, no elevator, and a bit of a walk to the lobby and breakfast room, especially on a rainy day. Person at check-in not particularly welcoming - seemed bored, sipping on a soda while finding our reservation. Breakfast was basic but good - muffins, toast, make-your-own waffles, juice, coffee, etc. This is an average hotel - not great, but not bad for the price.

Room Tip: Good for a stop-over, but not for an extended stay.

This La Quinta is in a very good location, just off I-95 and close to several nearby restaurants. The rooms need at least a minor renovation, but are acceptable. The beds are comfortable and the thermostats actually hold temp. The bathrooms are ok, but need some general upgrading. The rates are pretty good considering the location and proximity to the interstate. The one potential negative is the noise from outside the room is a little louder than you would expect, not sure if this was the door allowing the noise in or the general thickness of the walls. We could hear the ice machine every time someone got ice, all night long and it was around the corner and 50 feet away. Ok for a one night stay while traveling through, not sure I would want to be here multiple nights.

Room Tip: Rooms on backside of hotel away from highway could be less noisy.

We stayed there on our way down to Florida and had not the very best impression. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned; the rooms are located on two floors. The entire impression of this hotel is like an “old US Motel on HW 66).
Nevertheless the rooms were clean, the staff friendly and the breakfast reasonable. Anyhow, as we are a frequent user of these hotels, this wasn’t the best one.
The positive side: you can bring your dog and find plenty of possibilities to walk the dog outside the hotel area. At least our dog had a lot of fun

Checked in late 12:30 and had one room, non-smoking. NOT! Place smelled like smoke, sheets, and then after a night, I felt like I had at least two packs. Was cheap and you pay for what you get. I told the front desk and she said that most likely someone stood outside the room and was smoking and it blew into the room. A bit far fetched. The A/C Heat was not really working and so we could not even circulate the smoke. They do take pets, but be aware that every room has dogs and we had one too and folks get up really early to walk their dogs and boy do they bark. Got ours started and then the folks next door let their dog bark and scratch at our door to see if they could get to our dog. YIKES!! Barking, smoking and not very clearn. I would never stay here again. If you have a dog and like to smoke and want cheap, semi clean then this is your hotel!! We just gave up on sleeping and trying to breath, and left early morning on our way south to Florida. Never again. Fresh Air!!

Room Tip: If you decide to stay here, pick a room away from I-95 and lower level, but if you want to park in f...

Usually stay at this hotel for overnight stay to and from Florida. For the value, a good hotel for that overnight stay. Staff is pleasant as most of La Quinta hotels that I stay at, always friendly and helpful. Bathrooms seem to be an issue at La Quinta hotels at this price range (shower heads, corking, etc.). Beds are always very comfortable, great night sleep. Breakfast was suitable for what Im looking for, continental type breakfast, and always free. This area has lots of restaurants, a great variety.

Room Tip: La Quinta is always a good value, but some need to upgraded. But the staff are always pleasant.
