“Excellent Tour by a Native Savannahian”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

Although the weather was wet, Beth . . . with her umbrella in hand . . . gave us an informative tour, with many personal vignettes. You would almost believe that she lived during the times she is describing. We would recommend any one of her tours for visitors who want to learn the real history of Savannah and its architecture, or for residents who may discover things they didn't know about their city.

“Garden Tour of Savannah”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

Beth Reiter is not only extremely knowledgeable about Savannah but is totally "game". She lead us through lovely the lovely historic areas of her town giving us the history and background in a total deluge. I will be back to go on her other tours. Thank you Beth!

“Absolutely Wonderful!”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

We went on a tour with Beth and had a fantastic time, despite the pouring down rain. Not many people could manage to keep one's attention for 2 hours wandering around in the rain, but Beth really held us rapt with all of her stories and insights into Savannah. It didn't feel like just any old architectural tour, but a crazy tale of all of the different families and builders of Savannah. I also loved the story about her Great Grandma housing an officer during the end of the Civil War as Sherman came through. It's a beautiful walk through all of the old squares and I can highly recommend this tour to anyone.

“Best value, perfect intinerary, good conversation”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

What a wonderful morning with Beth. On our relaxed stroll, we discovered Savannah from the Colonial Period through the Civil War to the present. We even found some hidden gardens. Because ArchiTours keeps it groups small, we experienced the real Savannah with a knowledgeable native.

“Go with the best”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

We randomly choose Beth Reiter of Savannah ArchiTours as our tour guide. To our great delight, we chose the best person for an architectural tour of Savannah. As the city's past Preservation Officer and with her deep Savannah roots (over six generations) she knows her stuff. When we asked about how long we'd be with her, she said, "it depends" & she ended up generously spending almost 3 hours with us! Finally, she had to leave to finish her lectures for upcoming talks. BTW, she will tailor her tour to suit your time needs--but don't expect 3 hours....This tour is a wonderful opportunity to understand why Savannah is unique, to see lovely old buildings & to learn about the the city's early history from someone who was instrumental in preserving some of Savannah.
