This park is so beautiful. I would recommend doing a picnic in the area. The fountain and foliage in the park were breathtaking. The only down side is they do have some street vendors that come up to you but only bother you once. Bring your camera for some great shots of historic Savannah.

When visiting Savannah your trip will not be complete unless you walk to and through Forsyth Park. If you are lucky enough to go while the azaleas are blooming then you HAVE to go.

While touring Savannah we came upon Forsyth Park with its beautiful trees. Lots of benches to sit on and enjoy the scenery. The fountain is very pretty and peaceful. Enjoyed a much needed break here while touring. There is a playground for the little ones. You can get a cool drink and simple lunch at the park café. Chicken fingers and fries ,PB and J that sort of thing. Added plus is plenty of clean bathrooms.

A trip to Savannah isn't complete until you visit Forsyth Park, see the fountain, sit on a bench and enjoy the peace and quiet, or spend sometime in the sun watch people enjoying tossing a Frisbee, playing with their dogs, or just getting some sun. If you're riding a bike, note that this is a pedestrian park and you will have to dismount your bike.

If you're planning a trip to Savannah, take a walk down to Forsyth Park, spend a little time there, then enjoy walking the nearby neighborhoods with their historic charm.

If you're in Savannah, this park is a must. Very beautiful and great spot to relax and take a break after an entire day of visiting. Check out the fountain, and the playgrounds. You won't regret it.
