This is a must see, great for families, dog lovers, or anyone who loves to stroll. Some sources do say to use caution at night and I would agree.

What a treasure! Gorgeous fountain, flowers, sports fields, amphitheater. There is a garden for the bind, emphasizing multiple fragrances rather than appearance. A lovely place to stroll.

Walking through the south entrance by the grassy areas, you are reminded of your youth, watching families picnic and play ball or frisbee. The mossy trees are beautiful, the perimeter of the park is surrounded by historical homes and the fountain is lovely. The Cafe was very nice with a friendly staff and great Starvucks coffee. The north exit takes you further past historic homes if you leave the park. It was perfect for a leisurely, Sunday stroll

While we were there we saw about everyone and everything imaginable to be seen in a city park. Various ball games, kid parties, couples, oldsters enjoying the sun. It was busy and peaceful. If you get tired of seeing historical houses, reading plaques and trekking the streets, this park is the place to take your shoes off and relax. The fountain was my favorite.

You cant go to Savannah and not stop here. Even if for just a short while. The trees are huge and absolutely beautiful. As is the fountain, and the surrounding homes. Its peaceful, even when crowded. The park itself is the attraction, but be sure to make time to walk the perimeter.
