Take the time to walk through Savannah with Forsyth Park as your destination. From the
river's edge it will take less than an hour but the stroll through the various city squares
is well worth it. Then the park is awesome; beautiful open space, lovely plantings, lots
of green grass to play or just sit and enjoy. A great free immersion in a pretty, pretty city.

This park is full of history and the water fountain is very pretty. It is a great place to visit and to just people watch as this is a very active park.

Well, the park is extrememly picturesque. But when we were there, the SCAD sidewalk chalk exhibit/competition was going on and that is a lot of fun. Some of the work is seriously incredible. Others are whimisical...and some just don't show up to draw.
Cool place to people watch...

We enjoyed walking the park. There had been a chalk art festival on the sidewalks there and it was great seeing all the creations. It was a great place to kill an hour and stroll.

That old park with the spanish moss and huge garden is magical somehow. During the day, it's quite something, but we went by it on the way back to Atlanta at dusk. It was an entirely different place. With the slight fog and the lantern flickering and hanging spanish moss it was so mystical. No matter how man photos and from any angle I could not capture it!!!
