My boyfriend and I visited Savannah last year around this time, and I only thought it appropriate to share my love of Savvy Savannah Tours since we'll be revisiting this winter. The restaurant food we sampled was all delicious, and everywhere we went, the staff was friendly. However, what made this tour even better was our guide, Cyndi. If you ever take a trip to Savannah, make sure you meet her! She was warm, funny and hospitable to us, and we are forever grateful. Go Savvy!

My friend and I met in Savannah for a girls' weekend exploration of a new city, and decided to take a historical tour to get a good background for our trip. Cindy was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. There was certainly plenty of info and dates to keep track of, but told in a way that didn't make you feel like there would be a test at the end. As Cindy put it, history is just a bunch of gossip, and shared in that way makes it easier to understand how things happened. I would highly recommend the Scenes from Savannah Past tour and will definitely consider taking a different tour with Savvy Savannah on my next trip.

After quite a bit of research on the best food tour to take in Savannah, we settled on Savvy Savannah, due to the price and the comparatively better reviews vs other tours. We half expected to be disappointed, but we were quite surprised. It was excellent. Cyndi took our group to some off-the-beaten-path places, several of which had unexpectedly generous food samples. They also seemed genuinely pleased to see us and Cyndi, which is different than we had heard about on some other Savannah food tours. Because of that and the great food, we will be making some return visits in the future. Cyndi also knows her Savannah history, which adds a lot to the tour. Expect to walk a lot, and expect a diversity of food, and a lot of it.

We had a great time with Cindy, who took us on a foodie tour of Savannah a couple days ago. She met us at the Whistle Stop Cafe, where we sampled some uniquely prepared fried green tomatoes with more unique sauces. We then moseyed to Tje Distillery for some amazing she-crab soup and specialty beers (we bought the beer). The chef met with us for a bit as well. Next on the list was Corleone's, which served us the best caprese-style bruschetta I have ever had. Simply amazing! The owner came to welcome us and talk about the restaurant a bit, everyone was so friendly!

Next, we went to City Market Cafe, where we were treated to an awesome preparation of shrimp, grits, and collards-- a pretty hefty portion-- neither of us could eat it all! That rounded out the heavier food-- time for a sweet break. We next headed to Wright Square Chocolates, which we really enjoyed because the owner spent a lot of time with us explaining the ins and outs of chocolate making. We left with some purchases and the included sampler. Finally, we rounded out the foodie tour at Angel's BBQ, truly the best BBQ we've ever had.

Cindy was a wealth of knowledge and we really had a lot of fun getting to know her. It is clear this Savannah native knows her stuff and loves her town, and can't wait to share t with you! Next time we are in Savannah, we will definitely be taking another one of her tours. We suggest you do the same-- you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I decided to do this tour with some family and friends to celebrate our anniversary. Us being in love with food, this was perfect! Rebecca was a fun and charismatic hostess and we had a wonderful time. Definitely recommend doing this tour. It's a great way to get a taste of what Savannah has to offer and a chance to try some really amazing restaurants that you may not normally frequent. Check out Savvy Savannah Tours..I want to do the bar one next!
