Great service, great people! Shiela was great with her warm and friendly personality. My wife really enjoyed the place and the little extras like the evening drinks and snacks. The room has wonderful style, especially for an old building. Yet there re the modern touches like Wi-Fi (free) service.

From the moment I arrived, the staff was very courteous and friendly. Special kudos to (Hopefully I'll remember their names) Jennifer, Melvin and Sheila. Friendly visit from Charlie the ghost or maybe the nurse ghost! Excellent location in Savannah. I was able to walk everywhere or use city transportation without the use of a car. The pm wine and hors d'oeuvres were outstanding. The room was lovely and the beds comfortable, but some of the furniture was a little worn and the air conditioner noisy. When I return to Savannah, I definitely will consider returning to the East Bay Inn.

Room Tip: The supreme double queen rooms were spacious and comfortable.

From minute one, we were thrilled with our decision to stay at the East Bay Inn! We were very lucky to get e parking spot in the main lot. We were greeted with a warm smile and the bellman (Melvin I think his name was) was so sweet and so helpful. Took us to our room, told us a little about the history of the Inn, showed us everything in the room, ideas where to eat, made sure we knew about the evening snacks & wine, and was very sweet to our daughter.... Even helping her with a step stool to help her get in the huge bed she'd be sleeping in. And about that evening treat.... Well, it wasn't just cheese and crackers, it was that plus little finger sandwiches, cookies, fruit, and veggies and dip...along with the wine and non-alcoholic drinks. Our room was a good size (2 doubles I think... Or maybe two queens) and beds were comfy. The morning breakfast was basic, but nice that it comes with your stay....there are quite a few hotels that still don't offer breakfast. The Inn is close to River St., (great place to walk around, catch a boat ride, watch the cargo ships come in, do a little shopping, or find a good place to eat. As well as the place we found to buy trolley tickets to take us around town. The only thing sad about our stay was that we only stayed one night!!

The location is great. The room was gorgeous. It smelled a bit moldy, but not so bad that we could not forget about it. However the bathroom light above the sink did not work (making shaving and make-up impossible). We were informed that it be would fixed as soon as we arrived. We called later that day to remind the front desk. It was never fixed. As other mirrors were not useful for grooming and as we considering being able to see in the bathroom mirror a reasonable desire, we were a bit frustrated.

5 stars all around. Close to shopping, dining, River Street and transportation. Wonderful room, very clean and comfortable. Was very quiet despite being on a major road.
The staff were all fantastic, personable, and met every need and question.
If you are more than coffee and toast for breakfast I would suggest somewhere else, the only sub-par amenity. Although the staff was excellent and helpful.
Complimentary wine and cheese in the evening was a great way to wind down after a day sightseeing.
Skylers restaurant downstairs, the food was excellent and the staff friendly and attentive, the prices were very reasonable, surprisingly so.
The bar is not open in the evening, we would have liked to have been able to have a drink without leaving the Inn in the evening, but this is not a deal breaker.
I travel all over the US and this has to be one of the top two or three stays.
This Inn is great for that special get away with a adult ambiance.

Room Tip: Top floor quieter and 18' high ceiling.

We go to Savannah a couple of times a year and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. The East Bay Inn is southern style at it's best! It is a very intimate place to stay for two or for the whole family. We have stayed in the many beautifully decorated rooms and each one gives you a unique experience in historic Savannah. From the time you get there, until you leave, the staff make you feel like royalty. Sometimes it's the little things that you love about this place. (Luxurious bath robes, turn down service with chocolates, beautiful music, etc.) We have recommended the East Bay Inn to our friends from Saratoga, NY to Key West, FL. In closing, we would like to thank the management and staff for always making our stay an unforgettable experience!!!!

Room Tip: It's a safe bet in any room. We love them all and request different rooms for each stay!!! We ha...

Great location, staff and cute rooms. Reasonable rates. Beds are comfortable and not rocks. lol Restaurant down stairs is surprisingly good! Only thing missing is a home cooked breakfast….but Hueys down the road it great for that! Also go see Jukebox journey. (We are in our 30's, and still thought it was a great show and worth every penny) Whats not worth a penny- is lady Chablis show. She is not the show,… just a host. Misleading and NOT whats expected. Also you can buy tour package for historic homes at the Andrew Lowe house. This one has the best package deal…others include museums rather than houses.

Room Tip: All the rooms look somewhat the same. Same decor in each.
