“Awesome chance to see the other Savannah”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2014 via mobile

If you are tired of urban scene, there is a wonderful world of natural beauty awaiting you close outside of the city of Savannah. Having done the usual tourist treks, we opted to go out and see this natural habitat.
We could not have asked for a better company that Wilderness Southeast to do it with. They were very responsive to our emails and gave us an amazing tour which allowed us to see many alligators and bird life around Savannah. We spent the afternoon canoeing the Ebenezer Creek - a surrealistic area of still water and majestic trees. Our guide, Kristin, was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable, a pleasure to be with. Highly recommended for those tourists who want to see the natural side of this part of Georgia.

“Ducks On Holiday - Wilderness Southeast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2014

You don’t have to be a bird fanatic to enjoy a trip with Diana Churchill. My husband and I recently took the “duck trip” through the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge and had a wonderful afternoon. Neither of us knows much about birds but Diana shared her incredible knowledge and a super scope that allowed us to view all kinds of ducks in their natural habitat. The varienty is AMAZING. The blue-winged teal duck has a new fan!!!

“A day in the wild”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2014

I found the trip very informative and also a chance to identify and learn about the wildlife in the Savannah area. The highlight of the trip was the opportunity to view an american eagle as it hunted in the marsh. Many birds were seen and identified by Diana who was the very informed and interesting trip leader. She even provided a sighting scope for a close up look.

“Wilderness Southeast Canoe trip on Ebenezer Creek, Savannah Georgia area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2014

A friend and I arranged a canoe trip through a cypress swamp on Ebenezer Creek outside of Savannah, Georgia. The trip was done by Wilderness Southeast, who provided the canoes, equipment, and a guide. The day was magnificent-sunny and warm, the guide absolutely terrific, and floating thru both a cypress swamp and through a tupelo area was just magic. I highly recommend this trip to both beginners and more intermediate paddlers alike. An absolutely enchanting way to experience a southern outdoor experience.
