It has been over 2 decades since our first visit to Savannah, and that was just for one day. For the Rock and Roll Race we decided to get the whole family together November 7-11. I love history, and there was plenty to see. We were just a mile from downtown, and we walked to may of the squares in the historic area. It was fascinating to see the history reflected in the various markers at each of the parks/squares. We rented an apartment and rarely drove, and walked to all the parks we were able to visit as well as the waterfront. Our apartment was on Jones Street which claims to be one of the most beautiful streets in the country. All the older houses were great to walk by and see the plaques as to when they were built.
The check boxes on this review page are for "attractions." This is a place, not just an attraction, so perhaps more could be said.
