“Very nice walkable area”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

Loved just walking around the squares and the streets, Jones street was very nice so was Broughton st. Lots of art stores. Look for a kayak cafe with local food. I probably had the best shrimp avocado panini there

“a beautiful city!”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

Savannah was one of those places on my bucket list. It was well worth the visit. The waterfront was very old by North American standards and full of character. All the squares just a few blocks off the waterfront were beautiful. Our trip was a bit short but still enjoyed what we saw very much. And we do plan to go back to see what we missed.

“A very walkable city; just be careful on the cobblestones”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

We were in Savannah on a Saturday which meant free street parking. First we parked near Colonial Cemetery & walked through Colonial Cemetery, visited the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, & looked at the old houses with tree lined cobblestone streets. Then we drove around some of the city squares & found a parking spot by Emmet Park. This parking spot put us in easy walking distance of River Street which is much more commercial. Emmet Park had a zombie festival & everyone was getting their face painted like a zombie. The park also had a couple having their wedding pictures taken. These 2 areas gave us a good perspective of Savannah even though we didn't have much time.

“Savannah Touring”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

Lot of stuff to see. Colonial Cemetery and Bonaventure Cemetery very interesting. Walking the squares is very interesting. We now would recommend Ms. Wilkes boarding house for lunch. Walking affords your own pace. Trolley tours are nice for must see sights and orientation.

“Square One”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

Check out the great shops, bars, and restaurants around the squares. You'll want to see the offerings @ shopSCAD - great art, handbags, linens, and jewelry designed by SCAD students. For late nite food, check out Vinnie Van GoGo's pizza. If you like drinking alcohol in public, you'll have a blast. Go into any bar, get a "to go" beer, and walk around a square. Repeat as needed.
