paula deen's restaurant was very crowded, even with reservations, we waited over 30 minutes for a table. the service was great, but the food was mediocre .BEST restaurant we found (not mentioned on Trip Advisor.tsk, tsk) is Local ElevenTen...only serving meats, veggies, seafood, cheeses, etc. from local Georgia based sources. The Chef's Tasting, priced at $120 per person( with excellent wine) was as good if not better than any dinner I have had in my travels anywhere. Worth another trip just to enjoy again.

This was our second trip to Savannah and loved it both times. The trolley tour was great. City Market was overrated but a short walk away was the greatest ice cream parlor (Leopold's on E. Broughton) and lots of shops.

We arrived early and had a delightful day on the bus tour around the historic district, selecting a few sections of the City that we chose to spend more time exploring. This area is simply beautiful, full of wonderful historic surprises dating from pre-colonial days through the Civil War and today, marked by the massive restorations and reuses brought about as a result of the Savannah College of Art and Design. Simply magnificent and well worth more than just a day.

The hop on-hop off tours are very nice. The driver/guides each has a different perspective so try several for a large cache of information.
