Sisters does a great job representing the South, and the great cuisine that shows our heritage. They load your plate; generous with the servings. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and our waitress was a very sweet girl who took good care of us;making sure we had everything we needed, to enjoy our meal.
We had fried chicken(so good!), oxtails, lima beans(best ever!) and mac n cheese, and enjoyed it all. I also chose dressing, which I did not care for as much as the other sides. Get there before 3pm, as they ran out of cornbread, and we were told it was baking, then told they were not making any more. We did get two small, skinny pieces, but think it would've been more enjoyable if we had gotten thicker pieces, as the flavor was definitely there. There are so many great choices here, and they all looked good, as you choose from the steam table, and can see the food, which can help you decide what to enjoy.
I do wish we had gotten the banana pudding. The 3 layer cake we ordered was a bit of a disappointment. The top layer, red velvet, was great; with perfect cream cheese frosting. However, as you progress through the chocolate layer, to the vanilla layer, they layers got more dry, and there was no flavor. It seemed as though the last two layers may have been baked and frozen, and that caused them to be dry. It was just not the best choice of dessert, but it didn't mar our good experience here.
We will definitely head to Sisters every time we are near one of their locations!
