Owner description: A breathtaking live oak avenue leads visitors one mile down a colonial road to a vistor center, where they can watch short historical film, tour a museum, and browse a gift shop. A walking trail leads to the 1737 tabby ruins of the oldest remaining structure in the Savannah. Trails meander past scenic marsh views to the Colonial Life Area, where costumed interpreters provide living history demonstrations in the afternoons, weather permitting. Five more miles of nature trails are available for those who are more adventurous.

Worth the price of admission to just drive the 1 1/2 miles at the entrance , the Live Oaks were amazing..the area was a nice place to stroll thru history....amazingly, no bugs this day (bonus).. See if you can find the grave site.. The park rangers in the visitors center went out of their way to answer our questions. We even used the shaded picnic area to take a break. We had a Ga parks pass, so admission was free... woo hoo!

Beautiful place rich in history, be sure to see movie at museum. We were lucky enough to get a golf cart tour by a ranger since it was raining. Very engaging!

Great look at Georgia History. Drive in through the Oaks was fantastic. Worth a look at when you want a break from the Historic District.

I've been going to Savannah for decades and only recently, finally made it out to Wormsloe. Mind you, it's only 400 oak trees lining a mile drive and a small museum (there's not "a LOT" there), but if you love Savannah history, the original "tabby" ruins are fabulous and the river views and walking amid the real history is fantastic.

Where " Run Forest Run " was shouted! It was beautiful, the walking path was filled with history and beauty. But we did think there would be a real "house" but there wasn't. We would go again if we ever get back to Savannah. Well worth the trip to see.
