“A Wonderful Hotel In Savannah, GA”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

Me and my family truly enjoyed staying at this very lovely and very clean hotel. I believe that this hotel is also fairly newly built, and we have stayed here last year on our travels to Florida as a stop over going and coming, and because we liked it so much last year, we booked it again for our stop over to and from Florida for Spring Break (April 2013). The hotel is still looking very nice and well kept, not any complaints from us. Every room is a two room suite, with separate living room, and two televisions, two phones, nice clean shower/tub, and nice fluffy white towels, clean carpets, and clean and comfortable beds and pillows, clean drapes, and a wet bar and small dining area in all suites, with a mini microwave and mini refrigerator, all clean and working well, cabinets and a work desk, with ports, closets for your ironing and closets for your clothing and plenty of hangers. Clean and running elevators, and security.

The parking is convenient and free on the premises, and the elevators run quick without a long wait. There weren't any noise that we could hear in our room from the hallways or the next rooms, all was quiet for a good nights rest. They have 24/7 front desk service.

The hotel has a restaurant, located inside the hotel (ground floor).
They have a breakfast area that is the best ever, with cooked to order omelets, and hot stations, with meats (Bacon, Sausage), pancakes, Hash Browns made and seasoned with onions etc., and cereal stations and muffins, juices, fruit, coffee, etc. All the breakfast is free for the Guest, with plenty of seating, and they collect your dirty dishes and clean up for you. The breakfast is fabulous and worth the stay. The hotel also gives every night a Manager's Reception, with drinks and chips with dips, etc.

The hotel has a bar area, business center, where you can also find a ton of brochures for things to do in the area, lounge areas, small snack shop, exercise facility, indoor pool with hot tub. The hotel has also business meeting rooms and a formal banquet room. The rest rooms in the public corridor (ground floor) is also very clean and convenient. When you check in they have plenty of luggage carts to help yourself to your room with your luggage on your own, and the carts are not run down and roll very well.

The Hotel's restaurant, has a menu and/or room service, but we never used the room service, however, we have eaten in the restaurant on two occasions and the restaurant gets a thumbs down from us. As far as the restaurant goes, we did not like the menu selections, the food, the prices, the space that it is located in within the hotel, nor the service from the clerks. The wait for service at the restaurant is very very long, and once you get the food, it certainly needs lots of salt, because it is not seasoned, the food is highly over priced. The presentation of the food looks good, but the taste is very very bland. Bottom line, we would not recommend that you eat at the restaurant for your lunch or dinner, but to rather head out to the many restaurants that are in the area. Some restaurants are walking distance to the hotel, as well as a new Imax Regal Cinema Theatre, all walking distance, also other stores are in the area. There is also a very nice historical district in the downtown area that you would need to drive to, not that far, but nonetheless you need to drive there. Downtown is very nice to sightsee, lovely historical buildings and many quaint shops, etc., but parking is a challenge in many spots, and many walk around in the area downtown, and there are sidewalks and the environment is pedestrian friendly.

I took a lot of photos of this hotel, and the meal I had at the hotel, be sure to see my photos. Again, I highly recommend this Hotel for a stay in Savannah, Georgia, we found it excellent in cleanliness and comfort and location, also the staff is very friendly and acccommodating. We would certainly stay at this Hotel again in the future if we are in the area.

Room Tip: I would recommend to have a room that is not located on the ground floor, because there is much traf...

Thank you too for the mention of our meeting and banquet facilities! We are however disappointed we fell short of your expectations with our restaurant. I stayed at this property for one night while in the area on business. This is a newer property which presents well. It is located approximately ten minutes from the Savannah airport and is in a mixed business/entertainment/residential area.

The exterior of the site was clean and the parking lot was well lit and in good repair. The lobby space was clean, most attractive and check-in was a breeze. The clerk was polite, cheery and helpful. All pre-registration documents were correct and in-order.

Elevator cabs and interior hallways were found to be exceptionally clean, neat and well lit. Wait times for elevator service was minimal. Suite bedding and furnishings were clean, in good repair and typical for the chain. All standard amenities were found for the bath. The room was very quiet and ventilation/temperature was easily controlled.

All electrical equipment in the room and on-site were found to be operational. Internet speeds were excellent.

The breakfast area was clean, attractive and well stocked. Service was simply excellent from people who seemed to enjoy their roles. Each routinely spoke to guests and made each feel welcome. As a frequent business traveler, I recognize and appreciate this extra effort – it is rarely seen!

Check out was prompt as the folio was correct. I was thanked for my business and invited back. Should the need arise I would not hesitate to choose this property again.

My family and I stayed here on our way to Florida for spring break. The accommodations were very nice for a family of four. The pull out sofa was quite large -big enough for two girls to share. We enjoyed having a bedroom door that separated the living area from the bedroom. The staff was very friendly as well. The breakfast area was very crowded but the young women that worked in that area did a remarkable job of keeping it stocked and cleaned.

Great hotel clean and quiet. Room price was average. Food was excellent, and the staff was very pleasant. Couldn't have been a better experience, we would recommend this hotel to our friends. We will stay there on our next time through the area.

Room Tip: The place to stay if you want a good night of sleep

We were just driving through heading south - the hotel was very accommodating (late arrival); morning breakfast was delicious. Easy check-in and check-out. Would easily use this facility again in the future.

Overall, had a great stay. I called to confirm that I could get a rollaway bed and was told that for a $10 fee, I could...no problem. I cannot sleep on the pull out sofas. So, we get to check in and low and behold...."we do not offer rollaway beds..." I had not gotten the name of the clerk who confirmed that fact when I had called before booking...I would not have booked a room if I could not get a rollaway. I was basically called a liar. I have stayed at many Embassy Suites around America and this was the first bad time I have had checking in. Thankfully, there was another room available to book, and I did. That being said, the rooms were nice and modern, although my toilet seat had dried pee droplets on the seat....that was a no so nice surprise. The manager's reception was good, the bartender was generous and kind. The breakfast the next morning was fabulous, as always. There are many options for dining out near the hotel...although, I will warn you that the hotel's address does not show up on TomTom, my GPS. This hotel is located behind the Home Depot off of exit 104 on I-95 North. I will stay at Embassy Suites again. This rollaway bed incident did not kill my desire to stay in a nationally awesome hotel. Stayed on the 7th floor overlooking the woods...was nice.

Room Tip: 7th floor overlooking the woods...room 713. Elevator is right outside. NIce.

Thank you very much for staying with us and for sharing your comments. We very much regret the breakdown in service you had experienced and appreciate you letting us know. Your comments will be shared with our Front Office Manager and Director of Housekeeping, so they may take the appropriate action. We also apologize for the difficulty in locating us on GPS. This has been a real thorn in our side. We are located in Savannah, but right at the border between Savannah and Pooler, GA. Some GPS' will recognize our location as Savannah, some as Pooler and some of the older models that have not been updated in awhile will not recognize our location at all. Again we are disappointed that your expectations were not met during your visit and can only hope that when you are in the area again that you will give us another chance. Thank you again for staying with us and being a supporter of the Embassy Suites Brand.

This hotel was the perfect stopping point on a road trip from Florida to NJ. My husband and I were highly impressed with the accommodations. Very clean rooms and common areas with newish modern amenities. it is a bit hard to find as our GPS did not recognize the address, but worth finding!

Thank you very much for finding us and for your very nice comments. We very much appreciate you staying with us while passing through and hope you make us a stop on your next trip southbound. We regret the difficulty with the GPS, because of location on the border between two towns and being a relatively new location, some GPS' have difficulty in locating us. Thasnk you again and we look forward to seeing you on your next visit.
