We enjoyed all of our meals. The the atmosphere was great too, with a lot of historical pictures on the walls.

As a restaurant rated pretty high on TA, we expected above average food and service. We aren't food snobs, but do enjoy good food. The food served to us was boring. Perhaps it was a bad night in the kitchen? I wouldn't return as there are too many other good restaurants in Savannah to go to.

We've served good, quality American comfort food for over 80 years to people from Savannah and all around the world. With the world changing so fast every day, we think it's nice to have place you can go to enjoy a freshly made all-beef burger, some hand cut fries and a cold beer. Besides our classic fare, we offer fresh salmon burgers, mushrooms stuffed with gorgonzola, sun dried tomatoes, parmesan and fennel, grilled rack of lamb and the best fried shrimp around, among many other things.
Why does a restaurant have to be cutting edge or novel to rate highly? We prepare almost everything to order so that it's fresh and appealing. We do our best to provide friendly, efficient service because our staff is genuinely glad you're there. Our regular customers young and old come back again and again for our classic, familiar and comforting eats.
Sorry you didn't care for the place.

This wasn't far from our B&B, and we loved the authenticness of the decor and the fabulous food. Went there twice and loved it--the atmosphere is fun, and the waiters really good. I would always recommend this place.

Went here mainly because we wanted to try the burgers and play some trivia. Sadly, not only was my burger cooked wrong, but so was my partners. We both clearly ordered Medium and one came out Rare while the other came out Well. It would have appeared to be the fault of the waitress and not the cook. Both of our burgers had been cut halfway (a practice done by cooks to check the temp. of the meat. We informed the manager and he insisted we have a desert on him and thanked him for informing him about the burgers. The trivia was fun. Nice host, could clearly hear everything over the speakers and thats nice. Some places you can never hear the questions. The peach cobbler was the best we've both ever tasted. Fry's were not all that good. If I was the GM I'd look into replacing those. The people who go to eat here are half locals and half tourist. I'd say go on a monday night and enjoy some burgers in the bar and play trivia. Its fun.
