New, modern , stylish- gigantic rooms! It's twice the size of a normal suite. Just magnificent.

Lovely historic district. Trolley tours start a block up- explore Savannah conveniently & cheaply.

Wifi is fast, rooms have sound proofing, friendly staff- I will return !

We stopped for a 1 night stay on our way to Orlando from Detroit. Very easy to get to off the freeway. Valet service made parking a breeze ($20 charge we saw the next morning). We have 3 kids and stayed in a room with a pull out couch. Booked on the web and paid in advance to get a much cheaper rate ($30 savings, but no refunds). Just a short walk to the Market area. Loved it and got our boys to try some seafood! Nice walk to waterfront. Lots to see. My wife and I plan to return for a Long weekend as we didn't make it into any of the pubs. We went to Taybee Island on our way out for a few hours. Overall great stop and we will come back and would stay at the same hotel. Only issue with the hotel was the breakfast set-up. Not well done. Very crowded at the food counter and difficult to maneuver. Seems like a hotel like this could do a better job with the flow.

The good- stayed 3 nights in 2 queen room. The room was quiet and we liked the layout. Did not have a safe which is needed. Breakfast was okay but flow was poor for getting items. Toasters slowest I have ever encountered. Lobby was very nice great place to people watch and bright and modern. Bought trolley tickets from hotel staff for a good price and pick up was at hotel for hop on off.
The Bad - we had 3 beers 2 mikes hard lemonade and a large bag of chips taken from our room. They were neatly stored beside the micro and fridge and could not have been mistaken as garbage as the would have had weight. We called the front desk to let them know. They called back to say they contacted the person who cleaned the room and stated they did not exist.
They made it sound like we were making this up. We did not care about the items as their worth was about $15 it was the fact that someone stole form us.
The ugly - No Apology

They have someone who steals from the room in this hotel and they do not seem to care!

Dear Valued Guest,
>
> We are happy you enjoyed the oversized rooms and the modern accommodations of the hotel. To better facilitate the flow in breakfast, we have recently added a conveyor belt style toaster and other upgrades for our guests. Regarding the items in your room, we are very sorry that you had a negative experience. We were unaware of this issue occurring & do not condone dishonesty in any way. Please feel free to email us or call us directly to discuss further, as we would like to monitor the situation & take appropriate action if necessary. We hope you will choose to stay with us again. We are an outstanding Marriott hotel and would like for you to have a much better second experience.

Stayed just one night but was impressed with cleanliness and upkeep of this hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially the concierge Judy who is a real gem of a lady. She couldn't have been nicer! The location is centrally located. Was able to walk just about everywhere.

I recently stayed at this hotel for a short visit to the city and did not regret my choice. The hotel is within walking distance of many sites, restaurants and the City Market, and provides breakfast and free coffee and tea in the lobby. The room I had was comfortable and modern with a desk, wireless access and two bathrooms! The sliding doors on each bath area (one had a sink and tub/shower, one had the toilet and sink) opened easily and I imagine it might have been a better arrangement for multiple room users instead of single users. The concierge on duty was extremely helpful setting up a trolley tour and showing me where restaurants and points of interest were located on the map. They will also hold luggage if you have a later flight and need to check out early. There is a bus stop a few blocks away that will take you to the airport for $1.50 each way, and the location is quiet and safe. This hotel is quite near the art museums and shops.

Room Tip: I had a corner handicapped room which seemed quieter than others, but was far from the elevator.

My second trip to Savannah. The hotel is situated in the centre of the historic district, within walking distance to the Civic Centre where the All State Georgia Band Event was held.
Savannah has all the southern charm and hospitality which attracts tourists to come again.
There are several market squares with beautiful trees with spanish moss, which give it a holiday appeal to the city. The waterfront is The hotel itself was clean, breakfast (about average) was included, although valet parking was charged on a daily basis. The rooms were comfortable, undisturbed sleep.

Room Tip: Select rooms with a good view, preferrably on the top floors. King bed with comfortable pillows gu...
