SpringHill Suites Savannah Downtown/Historic District

This was our second time at this hotel, the first time right after the opening. We frequent Spring Hill Suites, but have never seen one like this!! So modern, and different, an architect's dream. We were impressed from the front door. The clever way they divide the sections of eating, relaxing, and the front desk on the main floor is so unique--the use of the circle repeated. The entire place is ultra clean, in the common areas, and in the spacious rooms. The color scheme and modern furniture and accents is awesome. We loved the separate bathroom areas-- it is perfect for two persons getting ready. The matresses, and linens are wonderful. The breakfast is generous and delicious. The staff is friendly and professional, and very helpful with suggestions. Don't let the valet parking turn you away. You won't need your car anyway, as you can walk anywhere in Savannah from this hotel. We will definitely return!!

I've stayed here twice- it is a great location. My first visit was with a Girl Scout troop and it is within a couple of blocks of the Juliet Lowe House. We walked everywhere both times. The staff is great, with wonderful suggestions of places to go and eat. There were three wedding parties at the hotel, so you know that it was very convenient and affordable. Don't miss the Ghost tours- the scariest place on our tour was right up the street. You can not go wrong staying here!

Room Tip: Ask if there are school or scout groups in the hotel and plan accordingly.

This hotel was way above my expectations of a hotel. It was very clean, quiet, large area for sofa and desk - office area. We had 2 queen beds with a pull out sofa. The room has a refrigerator, coffee pot and microwave for your use. Very modern, clean and excellent location in Savannah downtown area. We did not part at the hotel because it was $18.00 per day. The parking garage right next door was only $6.00 per day. Once we arrived we parked the car - you do not need a car in Savannah. We did plenty of walking and rode the trolley .The FREE breakfast was more than I expected, eggs, bagel, cereal, muffins, yougurt, fruit, - enough to get us thru the morning.
The people in the hotel were very friendly.

Room Tip: We were on the 6th floor overlooking the city.

The staff was very friendly and the facilities were up to date! I felt very comfortable in the suite we stayed in. We were a group of girls there for a bachelorette party and we had a great time. It was close to everything in historic downtown as well as great restaurants and attractions.

Room Tip: Suites are very roomy!

the city is amazing. I had the chance to spend a long weekend here. The hotel is really well located but, rooms are small, breakfast is really really poor!!! crazily poor, not well made. Pool is outdoors, and gym is so not nice . Pity! overall, not the best value for price. Bathroom in the room has a really strage set up. Room is a typical hotel room and not a suite, or a space to live. I am not satisfied

Room Tip: no tips...

My husband and I were looking for a Marriott property in Savannah so we could use our points for our stay. We were on our way to Florida for the winter season and decided to treat ourselves to two nights in this charming city. Our original reservations were at the Residence Inn, but after reading the reviews for this place we decided to stay here because of the location closer to the Historic District and the Riverfront. We were so happy we did because we parked our car and were able to walk everywhere. We even walked back to our hotel from City Market after 10 PM and felt totally safe. The second night due to some back issues I was having, we flagged a bicycle taxi instead of walking from our restaurant. The staff was friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable. We are not fond of the split bathroom layout, but that is just our preference. Suite like rooms with micro, frig couch and work space. Free coffee 24/7 and and free breakfast. The concierge woman was spot on in recommending Vic's on the River for dinner. Awesome food, service and ambiance.Wish we had asked her for second night as we were disappointed with 17 and 90 for dinner. Took a great 3hr tour of Savannah which was also recommended by concierge. We visited the Marriott Bohemian and loved the rooftop bar, but it was pricey to stay there. We both agreed when we return to Savannah in the spring we will book the SpringHill again. You really can't beat it for location, price and service.

My husband and I decided to visit Savannah on a whim. We prefer Marriott properties, so he found this SpringHill Suites in Savannah. Great location! Within walking distance to restaurants, shopping and the riverfront and reasonably priced. It's a beautiful property and the rooms are clean and well appointed with mini-fridge and microwave. The staff, including front desk, concierge, maid service, valet ... all were extremely helpful and very friendly. They all made us feel that they appreciated our business. We travel often, and we were, honestly, blown away by this hotel's hospitality. We hope to visit again soon!
