We chose Skidaway Island State Park because of its proximity to Savannah.
The park is beautiful and very clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. We thouroughly enjoyed walking and riding our bicycles through this beautiful area. Because it was October, the pool was closed, It looked very nice.
The reasonably priced, pet friendly campground has huge, pull through sites with water, electric and cable TV. Each site also has a pad for pitching a tent. The restrooms were always immaculate. There is a "pioneer area" for organized groups with adult leaders.
