This tour gave a wonderful overview of the historic district. Dan knows his history. Most people will be able to do this walk, as it is not fast paced.

Loved the bow tie and seersucker! Dan charmed us Northerners with his drawl and smattering of "ain'ts" and other colloquialisms. He intrigued us with his knowledge of history and local lore. He obviously loves Savannah. The pace was leisurely but covered many squares and sites. He arrived on time and hung around to chat afterward.

Savannah Dan is definitely worth the walk. He seems well versed in local history and is humorous. The time passed quickly and didn't drag. The only thing I felt he left out was the Jewish heritage in the area in terms of an understanding why one if the oldest synagogues in the country looks the way it does. He accused it of looking like a church and having crosses on it. I'm not Jewish but I found this ill informed. Synagogues often took in the "flavor" of the local architecture. Anyhow this was the only thing that stood out for me given also the historical significance of this synagogue as well.

We just loved Dan's tour of the city. It gave us a great overview of some great spots to revisit and covered a lot of the city's history. Dan taught us how much we didn't remember from our American History classes in high school, too. Dan is entertaining, patient and truly loves his home, Savannah. Highly recommended. Thanks to the other reviewers on Trip Advisor for pointing us in Dan's direction!
