There is not a better way to get introduced with Savannah. You meet in Johnson Square and your very interesting and enjoyable walking tour begins. He is easy to find being about 6'5" and wearing his seersucker suit and white hat. He probably knows more about the ins and outs of Savannah that 99% of their residents and remember any restaurant or ice cream parlor he mentions. He charges $15.00 for the tour, but only if you enjoyed it. I doubt very highly he has ever been stiffed.

Knowledgeable, personable, witty, polite, and most of all SAFE. All other saunters pale in comparison. Do yourself a favor when researching a trip to Savannah and selecting a tour: don't stop with simply finding out about the tour, look into the REPUTATION of the tour guide, including criminal records. You will find that Savannah Dan is not only the best tour but the best tour guide.

Dan was a great tour guide through Savannah. Being a retired police officer he knows a lot about his surroundings. The walking tour was very infomative as well as entertaining. He is most definitely has great southern charm :) We enjoyed learning as we walked and there was never a time he wasn't telling you something. This is the tour to take to learn the history of Savannah.

Dan was welcoming and charming - and really knowledgeable about Savannah. He tells his story, but he's open to questions - and that's when proof of his knowledge showed through! He obviously loves his adopted city and loves his profession. I highly recommend using his tour. His website is easy to book on and get info about him. I love walking tours, and he didn't disappoint at all! 2 hours of constant information, it flew by!
