“A Girl Scouts dream come true”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2014

No trip to savannah is complete, without stopping and touring the Juliette Gordon Low's birthplace. As a Girl Scout you can see first hand all the reasons why she created such a fabulous organization. And if you are a scout (once a scout always a scout) be sure to ask for the special badge. There is a fee assocIated with it but so worth it. Enjoy...

“Currently undergoing renovations.”

The JGL is currently undergoing extensive renovations, so do be aware. Savannah's a great place, and this is one of its great places.

“Great tour!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2014

Our tour guide was very good, giving us a great sense of the time period and Juliette Gordon Low. Unfortunately the outside is covered with scaffolding but that did not detract from our tour of the inside. We were there when there were no school groups so it was very quiet and informative.

“Informative Tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2013

You don't have to be a girl scout to enjoy the tour of this home. I chose to visit for the recreation of an 1886 Christmas with the Gordon's. The home is beautiful & has been well preserved. I loved seeing how simplistic but beautifully decorated the home would have been so many years ago. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable & friendly. So many interesting facts about the decor & furnishings as well as Juliette's "Daisy" life. Daisy had so much talent. Her paintings & sculpture are throughout the house & are very impressive. She lived a pretty wonderful life but wasn't truly fullfilled until she started the Girl Scouts. My only disappointment was the entire outside of the house is being restored so it was covered in scaffolding. But it will be beautiful when finished. The tour includes the small garden in the back which is the only area photos are allowed. A small gift shop & restrooms are on the first floor. $9 per adult for tour.

“History of Girl Scouts”

The guide during the tour was really personable and we enjoyed the commentary. I would recommend visiting as the house is well preserved and there are a lot of Girl Scout related pieces to view.
