“Girl Scout Heritage”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

Interesting even if you are NOT a Girl Scout. Next year will be a milestone anniversary year so they expect to be inundated with Scouts. My advice, get there quickly before the crowds.

“How Can You Go Wrong When They Serve You Girl Scout Cookies?”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

We were on the first tour of the day in late October. Before you even pay you will eye a plate of an assortment of Girl Scout cookies which are yours for the taking. You then go into a room where they play a tape about Juliette (Daisy) Gordon Low before the tour. There is also a cutout of her with a space for you to stand next to her and rest your head in a GS uniform for a photo op of the two of you.
As to the tour 45 minute, it was extremely informative about her history, how she created the Girl Scouts 100 yrs ago and the many belongings of hers and her family throughout the house. The docent had an amazing amount of knowledge about the creative and dedicated Juliette Low and the numerous items that she herself made in quite a few of the showcases. The garden is lovely and contains a wrought iron Girl Scout insignia.
Finally the gift shop is full of Girl Scout and period pieces. It is not to be missed.
Even if you are a male, were never a Brownie or a Girl Scout I believe this tour would appeal to you.

“A Must See For All Girl Scouts”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

A must see for all girl scouts. Seeing what Juliette Low lived liked and her pursuit of a great 'club' was an experience in itself.

We enjoyed our tour of the house. Some interesting history, lovely garden, and a fun shop for this Girl Scout volunteer.
