Had a great stay - 2 nights only - but found staff very friendly & helpful, especially a female staff member named GERRIE. Room was clean, quiet and all amenities except for a refridgerator (!?) Free breakfast was excellent, and use of in-house computer was easy. We were on a touring holiday - self drive - and Abercorn Road runs straight into the heart of downtown Savannah which was helpful. Lots of shops and amenities within a mile or two up and down Abercorn Road.

One small problem - when drawing into the hotel, signage from the road could be improved - remember to turn right at the first T-junction, and hotel is on the left.
Signage only then becomes visible.

Overall, rate the place highly and would stay again.

We normally stay downtown, but most of the downtown hotels in our price range were booked, so we didn't mind the drive- it's only 5 or 10 minutes out of downtown & near stores, movies, dining, etc.
This hotel was so clean! My husband is a priority member, so they upgraded us to a suite- it was very large & very nice. The walls were a little thin for a newer hotel but we didn't hear much (except at bedtime when our neighbors got frisky- kind of funny, actually). Bed was very comfortable. Front desk, lobby & common areas were clean & comfortable. Didn't see the front desk clerk much- I think there was only one working most of the shifts & she/he didn't say hello/goodbye like HI staff often does, but that's minor.
The only true complaint that I have is that the bathroom was stocked with 3 towels & 3 hand towels (and 3 washcloths). After our first day, the housekeeper took our dirty ones and left us with only 2 towels & 2 hand towels for the remaining time. Oh, and they don't have free wi-fi.

Room Tip: ask for the upgrade- you might get it!

I stayed at this Hotel when we went to Savannah for a college visit for my daughter. The Hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Ashley at the front desk really helped us with a lot of great answers to questions we had. Fitness center is small but meets your workout needs. The breakfast was a good start to our day. The rooms were clean and I didn't see any problems that would be enough to complaiin about. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express "Midtown" in the middle of December. First, this place is NOT in "Midtown" but as far on the Southside as you can get. When I checked in the Night Clerk looked as if I interupted her nap. The room was way overpriced. Once in the room the bathroom was filthy with chunks missing in the drywall. There was literally yellowish dripping fluid stains on the wall at eye level! There was a scant amount of toilet paper. The bed was stiff as a rock, the pillows were lumpy, and I heard every car, motorcycle, and siren pass. NO GOOD!
