“Great tour with Lawrence”
Reviewed April 8, 2012

The Foody tour was alot of fun. It was a combined history tour and food tour. The food was great. When we went to Paula Deen's restaurant each person was only allowed to sample one item. If you are traveling with others make sure you each get something different so you can share. Lawrence had a love of history and was very knowledgable. He was a good tour guide.

“Walking Foody tour is awful”
Reviewed April 7, 2012 via mobile

Please don't waste your money on this "tour". We went to 2 restaurants....that is not a typo....yes 2 restaurants. A very dry sandwich and a bowl of whatever at lady and sons and that was it for the food. Then a honey store, spice place, and balsamic vinegar place all with a taste that was free to the public anyways. Final place, the chocolate store, with a free sample of the least expensive thing they had. No fault to the retailers, but I paid $43.00 for this? I could have had an excellent dinner, with wine, and money left over!

“Disappointing.”
Reviewed April 7, 2012

We walked. 6 in the group. My daughter & I & 4 others. He gave us movie info, very little about the city. Didn't care about the movie stuff. The first stop was a bakery, gave us doughnuts, not good at all. The BBQ was good at the one stop, Lady & Sons was a BIG disappointment. We were going to stand in line for there the next day. After the tasting decided there were better choices. We were ushered in the back door, not greeting, just handed the little styrofoam bowl & told to take 1 thing! We took more, of course. Were ushered out the front door & across to the park to eat. Very poor, the salad at the museum was nice, the cafe gave us nice goodie bags. Would I do it again? NO, would I recommend it? NO! Did really enjoy the Pink House. Service was great, food wonderful.

“Wonderful Experience”
Reviewed March 20, 2012

This is one thing you must do if you visit Savannah. Make sure that you are REALLY!!! hungry. You go to 7 or 8 different places and get something to eat from each place. We stopped at The Lady and Sons, and believe me, this is the only way you can get something to eat there, it is always so packed. Our driver was great and made us all laugh for the entire tour. Go back to your hotel and lay down because you will be stuffed! Get a lot of different things that Savannah has to offer.

“Delicious, educational and fun”
Reviewed March 5, 2012

This tour takes you to seven different food related stops in the city. Our tour guide, Julie, was knowledgable about the city and the food we would be tasting. On this particualr tour, we visited"
The Whistle Stop Cafe for fried green tomatos
Harris Baking Company for cinnamon buns
Angels BBQ for pork bbq (beef brisket given to those who can;t eat pork)
Jebson Museum Cafe for shrimp and grits
Lady and Sons for a sampling from the buffet
Spice and Tea Exchange for a dip and tea tasting (and a free sample of one of their spice blends)
Wright Square Cafe for a hand made chocolate goodie bag.
Well over two hours of food and fun and everything was delicious. Our tour was a small group and we had enough food that we did not need lunch afterwards. Julie went out of her way to drop us off so that we wouldn't get soaked on a rainy day in Georgia.
