My wife and I stayed 2 nights and the staff really does make you feel at home. The rooms are very large and comfortable. We both had wonderful nights sleep in the king sized beds. Breakfast was a treat and we looked forward to talking with the Peter the chef. We will always look fondly on this as our first B&B visit, but not our last. We shall return to the Gaston Gallery.

From the first phone call to the Gaston Gallery Inn to the last goodbye, we had nothing but a great experience. The staff are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. The Inn itself is a gorgeous old building, immacutely kept up, with elegant furnishings. It's well located on a nice quiet side street near Forsyth Park (away from the hussle and bustle of the overly touristed areas. The rooms are tasteful and comfortable. The morning breakfast and evening social hour were delicious and fun.

It was a first rate experience and I would highly recommend the Inn to seasoned travellers who are looking to get an authentic Southern experience (no big commercial chain hotels please!). We'll definitely be back!

, General Manager at Dresser Palmer House, responded to this review, September 12, 2005
To avoid confusion, I would like to inform you that the Gaston Gallery has recently changed its name to the Dresser Palmer House. We are under the same ownership and management, and have undergone an extensive re-decorating project. The Inn, built in 1876 was originally built as two homes that were connected; Mr. Dresser and Mr. Palmer were the original owners. We welcome our previous guests, as well as those visiting us for the first time to come and see the upgrades. See you at the Dresser Palmer House.

Words cannot explain the wonderful experience on a recent trip to Savannah which was due in part to the incredible hospitality from the staff at Gaston Gallery. The atmosphere was welcoming, friendly and genuinely warm without being stuffy.

The Johnny Mercer room with three floor to ceiling windows, fireplace and antique furniture made us almost not want to leave our room, but Savannah called us to admire other beautifully appointed homes and other attractions.

Simple and fine details were not overlooked by Gaston Gallery staff and this is what made our experience in Savannah so wonderful that a return trip to this fine home and city will be planned.

My husband and I stayed for two nights at the Gaston Gallery B&B and had wonderful stay. The Gaston Gallery is charming, the location is ideal, and Ron and Bill were great hosts with a wealth of information and advise on how to make the best use our short visit to Savannah. Pete prepares a delicious southern breakfast! I definately would stay here again.

Gaston Gallery, being renamed to the Dresser Plamer House ater it's orignal owners, is a home away from home. The congeniality and helpfulness of the staff is great. They really make you feel welcome. Breakfast is as good as it gets.

My wife and I stayed at the Gaston Gallery in Savannah and could not have been more pleased. The former duplex on Gaston Street is beautiful, furnishings are elegant but comfortable, and the breakfast and afternoon refreshments were first-rate. The staff was most helpful and accommodating, and we would certainly stay there on our next visit to Savannah.
