My wife and I are local but needed a getaway to recharge from her battle with Lung Cancer. We could not have picked a better place to accomplish this. The entire staff were extremely courteous, helpful, and professional. Having travelled extensively over a 46 year career, I am familiar with both poor and good service. This is an excellent facility and I strongly recommend it to anyone wanting an Historical experience in Savannah.

Sean and Don were excellent hosts....When we arrived sean gave us a city map and marked the various sites and tours we may want to see. He called and made tour reservations as well as calling for taxis when needed. The breakfast was included and substantial southern cooking. The location was about 10 blocks from the waterfront but near savannah restaurants and shopping, as well as on the edge of the scenic Forsythe Park, so we
Were able to park the car and walk everywhere on our two day visit.

Hey Kathleen T!

Thanks, first of all, for choosing us for your Savannah getaway! Usually people look towards the river for lodging and don't even realize how much more to Savannah there is than the busy downtown area. We are located on a quiet street near Forsyth and beautiful homes, restaurants, and sites are so walkably (is that a word!?) close that it is silly to even move your car out of our private parking. We are glad you enjoyed our beautiful city and home.

I was visiting Savannah and while walking, the Dresser Palmer House caught my attention. From the outside it's immaculate, and just as beautiful on the inside. Out of curiosity, I walked inside and was welcomed to take a look around. Then I was invited to come back in the evening for wine and appetizers. Normally, I wouldn't accept, but the hosts seems very genuine and so I returned. Coincidentally, I ran into some other friends also visiting Savannah and so 4 of us returned for a glass of wine that evening. One glass led to a second and then a 3rd. The owners of the property just kept filling our glasses with smiles on their faces. At the end, we tried to pay for our Drinks, but Jeff refused out money and thanked us for coming to his B&B. This is what service is about!!

Hey JTflashpacker!

Our home is always open to those who are looking to have a little fun. We do our wine social each evening to meet our guests and see what they have loved about Savannah during their stay. It's also great to make new friends off the street and show a little hospitality to locals and travelers alike. We have some great wines in house and why be snobbish with them?! This is the south after all! Thanks for stopping by and enjoying the evening with us :)

My wife and I stayed here for 2 days over our anniversary and had an exceptionally great time. Great breakfast and great people. We often stay closer to the river when visiting Savannah, but this time we thought we would try something quieter and more off the common path. We were greatly surprised and pleased with this B&B. Definitely will stay here again.

Hey whitehorsetravellers!

It was great to have you stay with us! We are so glad you chose to stay back from the river area and experience a new part of Savannah. It is a very quiet area we are situated in with Forsyth Park just one block away and gorgeous homes all around us. We like to think of it as a nice escape from the busier downtown area while still very walkable to anything and everything you would want to see and do. Again, thanks for choosing us!

What an amazing bed and breakfast! It was mine and my husbands first trip ever to Savannah GA and we were celebrating our year wedding anniversary. The staff at the DPH were fantastic in advising place to go to and eat at. Our room was very quiet and well kept. Learning about the history of the house and cocktail hour were a lot of fun. Breakfast on both days was awesome! We would love to come back and stay there again.

My husband and I stayed at the Dresser Palmer House for three days at the end of August, it was a wonderful experience. We intend to go back soon because we loved the our time at the Inn that much. The staff, Colon, Don, Emily, Janice and Shaun are the ones who made our experience so amazing. There was not a detail left out, the breakfast was excellant and the appetizers at night were wonderful. Can't wait to return! Suzan and Dominic.

I stayed at the Dresser Palmer House over the Labor Day week-end. Meticulously clean and beautiful. I stayed in the John Wesley room and the furnishing were beautiful antiques. The canopy bed was beautiful and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious as well as the service. You will feel the southern hospitality as soon as you arrive.

Hey Denise D!

What a great weekend! We had a wonderful time with all of our guests. The furniture in the house is a huge collection of years of looking around and shopping and auctions to get just the right feel. We have a good mix of the antique furniture with a clean and sophisticated modern feel that we believe keeps our guests coming back for more! We thank you so much for your kind words and hope to see you again soon.
