“Perfect for a quiet getaway!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

We stayed at the Olde Harbour Inn for 2 nights in May 2012. I had done extensive research prior to booking our room, and chose this place because of its location, the size/amenities of the room, and of course the price. It wasn't the cheapest place I looked at, but it offered better value. Daily breakfast, a snack bar, wine and cheese receptions every evening, and a Klondike bar in our freezer every night! Yes, please! The location, while not exactly central, was actually better for us cuz we like it quiet - we could enjoy the restaurants and bars of Factors Walk, but didn't have to listen to the noise when we were ready for bed.

The real seller here, though, and the reason I would recommend it over and over is the service. We arrived during the Tall Ships Festival, so Factors Walk was closed to traffic. I called the hotel, and they sent someone up to greet us and gather our luggage, and he then directed us where to go (we had to use a different ramp, and a police guard had to let us through). By the time we parked and checked in, our luggage was in our room waiting for us. THAT is service.

Our room was quite big, with a full kitchen and a balcony right on Factors Walk. The breakfast was good, and the Klondike bar at the end of the day was such a treat!

I would definitely recommend Olde Harbour Inn to anyone going to Savannah.

We stayed at the Olde Harbour Inn last Sunday and Monday. The rooms and location are superior. We had a wonderful wine and cheese reception and ice cream bars in the freezer too! Maurice and all if the staff were so nice and helpful. The atmosphere is wonderful for visiting with other travelers. Many fin restaurants are close, as is the trolley. If you can stay here, you will not regret it.

Room Tip: There are some stairs involved.

My Husband and I just returned from our honeymoon where we spent 2 nights in Savannah at the Old Harbor Inn. It was very spacious and the bed was so comfortable! We stayed in the River View Queen which was the best idea because the balcony has two chairs to sit out at night and watch the big cargo ships go by. The Joes crab shack did not bother us because we enjoy hearing the music and its a good atmosphere. Also if you didnt want to hear it you could go inside and turn the tv on. The Inn is beautiful, the staff was great, loved Gentry - she really was a help with a ghost tour we wanted to book - the wine and cheese hour was lovely because we got to unwind from walking all day. My only improvement could be the breakfast- perhaps more fresh items to choose from. We enjoyed our stay!

Room Tip: Parking is a little tricky there so you might want to call ahead, or arrive in town early.

Great place to stay. My husband and I planned a quick 1 night getaway and were so happy we picked to stay here. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Love the location right on river street so makes walking everywhere easy. Liked the snack of cheese and wine they offer and the surprise treat at night:) Just wish breakfast offered something else like eggs.

We stayed here the first part of Feb. 2013. This Inn has great staff working for them. Stay on the top level for the best views and less noise. Joes Crab Shack can get loud at night. Sleep in the loft and you don't hear any noise at night. And you can enjoy the stars through the 2 skylights. The 5:30 happy hour was nice to get a bite to eat but it was the same food each evening and we stayed 4 nights. They served 2 kinds of cheese and crackers, chicken salad sandwich and cheese on raisin cinnamon bread, red and white wine, bottled water and room temp. coke or sprite. No ice to cool the sodas off. Breakfast was the same each morning but more options. Cold cereal, packets of oatmeal, yogurt, apples, bananas, bagels, raisin cinnamon bread, danish, bacon, sausage and plain warm biscuits. We also received ice cream bars in the freezer each evening! You can walk everywhere from this location but use the DOT (free Historic Area System) when you need to give your feet a rest.

Room Tip: Stay on the top level (second floor) for less noise from the River Walk and Joe's Crab Shack. U...

This is the best Inn in Savannah and it just got BETTER! They just completed the 1st phase of the new lobby and social area. It just turned out SUPER. They are also updating the rooms and the entire exterior is getting a face lift. The STAFF is the best in town. They really take good care of their guest and assist you with any questions you may have. WILL BE BACK!! THANKS TO A GREAT STAFF!!

Room Tip: limited parking so get a city parking pass.

I stayed, without a dog, but my stay was awesome. They are condo's converted to rooms so very spacious. VEry friendly staff and the locaiton was the key. Handy to have a refrigerator and microwave to heat up leftovers. Although thin walls and I could hear the neighbors tv early a.m. and thought it was intruders. And oddly enough, the carpet was nice and felt good on my barefeet. Joe's Crab Shack across the way is fairly loud until they close. But the positives outweigh the negatives and next time I'm in Savannah I will go back there. It was nice to park my car for 2 days and not drive ANYWHERE. River Street is right there and Historic downtown is across the street. If you don't mind a little street/restaurant noise, this is the place.
