If you're looking for a bed and breakfast, it doesn't get much better than this. The location is a little bit far from the river, but its still a short and easy walk. Nice, comfortable rooms but the real selling point is the breakfast. Jane is an amazing cook, her doughnuts are to die for and the grits will out a smile on anyone's face!

The house was luxuriously decorated in Christmas splendor! Every room we saw throughout the house had antique charm with modern highlights. The kitchen looked to be the most modern, yet retained a large, beautiful fireplace, beautiful windows and welcoming adornments. The room had a cozy yet spacious feeling likely due to the high ceilings. The residential area surrounding this Inn is a perfect place to start your own Savannah walking tour. (One of the official tours actually does begin very close by.) The central park (Forsyth) is a 5 minute walk and there are many beautiful homes and churches to see along the way. Rocky and Jane were both very hospitable; the compliments at the restaurant where they made our reservation was a very nice touch! Rocky was especially helpful on our checkout day when I had trouble with a flat tire. Again, he made an appointment for us at a nearby Tire shop who also turned out to be excellent- friendly, smooth service. This was our first time in Savannah and it turned out to be a place I would like to visit again and again, given the opportunity.

Room Tip: I liked our room a lot, "Camellia." It had it's own newly redoneVictorian style balcon...

Our family of 5 (3 teenage daughters) stayed the night on short notice as we returned to Indiana from a vacation in Florida. Very accommodating hosts and a very nice suite of rooms where we could stretch out and unwind while squeezing in a little bit of city touring. If you are looking for a 5-star resort where everything is perfect down to the last detail this is probably not your place. BUT, if you want to experience a taste a victorian charm hosted by a very nice family who genuinely care that your needs are met without forcing you onto their agenda, you will be well satisfied. They are honest, educational, local, realistic, relaxed, and friendly. We'd happily recommend them to anyone looking for these qualities in a B&B.

Room Tip: Be open enough to let Jane and Rocky help you decide what room(s) are right for you...they know best...

Jane and Rocky are amazing inn keepers! The breakfast and homemade candy/cookies are delicious! The attention to detail and their genuine desire to accommodate you personalizes the entire experience and makes you want to visit them again... and soon! The house is well kept and although it had many characteristics of an older house (as one would expect) everything was very clean, the linens had a fresh scent and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed in the magnolia and the bathroom was quite small but again there were options for larger rooms and bathrooms and we decided to stay in the magnolia. The location is great. We parked our car upon arrival and didn't have to move it until we checked out. It's about a 15 min walk but if the weather is nice and you enjoy walking (as my husband and I do) it is a perfect way to sight see and walk off your meal! Highly recommended. Jane and Rocky also offer great suggestions tailored to your stay for places to eat, things to do,etc. We told them it was my birthday and they made reservations for us at the chart house and covered the dessert for us:)

The hotel was quirky and beautiful. Rocky had many suggestions about what to see, and even though parking wouldn't have been a problem, downtown was easily accessible by foot. The bed was comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

At the Amethyst Inn you are not just a customer you are family! Jane and Rocky are excellent hosts and were very accommodating during our stay. The room was comfortable and well kept and the breakfast was excellent. Rocky provided many great tips on what to do and where to go and made sure we were aware of any discounts that might be available. This was our first time at a B&B in Savannah and we could not have asked for a better experience!

MA and Ray first time visitors to lovely Savannah, GA. We made a reservation at the Amethyst Inn through the Concierge at the Marriott Courtyard in Charleston. We were not disappointed. Our two night stay, Oct.17 & 18, was beyond excellent. Jane and Rocky were most generous of their time in explaining how best to see Savanah in 2 1/2 days with recommendations for outstanding restaurants for dinner too. Jane and Rocky are gracious hosts, the breakfasts were palmary and the rooms were beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Our choice of lodging when next we visit Savannah.
Thank you Jane and Rocky

Room Tip: Room with sitting area is a good choice
