Description: Leave the ordinary behind and escape to the Mediterranean! Southside's newest and highly anticipated addition is Troy Mediterranean Cuisine. Located directly across from the Savannah Car Wash Detail Center is a little family owned restaurant that is poised to raise the bar for fine restaurants in Savannah. Once you step inside you are whisked away to the Mediterranean. The decor is tranquil and the atmosphere is peaceful. This is a great place to bring the family or that first date. Great care and detail goes into each entree and the presentation is food magazine quality. Since they are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner, there is absolutely no excuse why you cannot dine here! If you are in a hurry, you can have your favorite entree(s) cooked to order and pick them up through their takeout area. Either way you owe it to yourself to escape to Troy!

“Wonderful family restaurant. Outstanding service. Very reasonable.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2014

We love Mediterranean; we weren't too hungry, so I had a salad that was absolutely perfect, and a spanakopita that was better than anything else ever. My wife thought her Moussaka was very good, but not outstanding (shouldn't include wife in MY reviews) . The place was crowded with locals, and the dishes served around us were all beautifully presented. Wish we could have gone there again, but it was late in our trip. Highly recommend.

“Great Service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2014 via mobile

Visited for my birthday 2nd year in a row. Had the Spinach Pie and dear husband had Lamb Shank. Oh they were good. Our waiter Chris had impeccable timing and service. Very enjoyable!

“Locals shared their favorite place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2014

Sharing a meal with friends is even better when the food is exceptional. The food here is just that.
This is place is hard to get to. Traffic is heavy on the main road that it sits on. It's best to go around the block(s) and come back on the same side. It is hard to see as it is in a small strip of storefronts. A new sign perhaps is warranted.
Our waiter split the bill by couples without any trouble. Sometimes
there's a fuss over this issue and it aggravates me when we have to divide equally when dishes aren't equal.
The dessert menu should have a note that sharing is better as the portions are large. Coming in for just the baklava might be a good idea. It would make a great afternoon dish.

“The Best Chicken Kabobs”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2014

I didn't even know the restaurant was there. Drive past the area frequently and had always overlooked it. Saw it on tripadviser and decided to give it a try I ordered the chicken kabobs. It came with a very delicate flavored lemon rice, seasonal veggies and pita bread. The chicken was extremely tender and had excellent flavor. It was decently priced. I definitely will be back.

“Perfect 5!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2014

This restaurant is off the beaten path in Savannah but definitely worth the drive. The food is excellent, the prices are great, the staff is attentive and helpful but not overbearing and the restaurant is pretty cute. They have the most fantastic, dense bread when you first sit down with this amazing oil/dip thing that I could have had for dinner. I had the chicken scampi, which was huge and I love to eat pasta so rarely have leftovers. It had two pretty big breasts, tons of pasta and lots of vegetables that were cooked but still had that nice crunch you like to it. My boyfriend ordered a seafood pasta and was equally impressed by the quantity of seafood and the taste. If you like Mediterranean food and have the time to venture outside of the historic district, this is a must go to for me. For the price you pay, the service and food far exceed expectations!
