We stayed for two nights as part of a road trip and would gladly go straight back. Nothing was to much trouble for Lea or any of the staff. From helping with very heavy bags to moving our car for us. The inn is perfectly located with all of the squares and the river within walking distance. Make sure you have tea at 4pm and sherry later on!

This hotel is great. It's very small and intimate (it feels like your staying in someone's house in the 1890's). The staff is very friendly and the rooms have an authentic historic feel. We stayed in the China Trade room on the 2nd floor and it was beautiful with a four-poster bed and large seating area. The only downside to this room is the small TV located across the long room from the bed (it makes viewing TV difficult from bed) but that's only a slight inconvenience. The hotel is very well located in the historic district, just a short walk to restaurants and the River Walk. Breakfast is fun - you select a time and preferred room to sit in, and they seat and serve everyone in their 3 separate rooms on the first floor.

Room Tip: We were told that "Mrs. Anderson's ghost" sometimes walks the 2nd floor hallway". The story added to our enjoyment of the hotel but others might find it to be something to avoid. Also, the hotel is difficult to enter - there is only limited parking on site and most guests have to find parking on the street, and then you have to carry your luggage up a small flight of stairs to the front door (the staff can assist).

And already planning another visit during the holidays. This trip was a mama/daughter holiday filled with lots of art and small boutiques and walks through the wonderful garden squares. The staff is very sincere in helping you feel right at home. I even felt comfortable wearing one of the Ballastone bathrobes down to pick up a mug of morning coffee. Cannot wait to return for more of the same.

We stayed two nights in the beautiful Victoria suite. From the second we arrived to the moment we left we were treated like family. The entire team are gracious hosts and nothing is too much trouble. They really care that everything is perfect and are 100% genuine. Lovely treats for afternoon tea at 4pm and canapés at 6. Nice to catch up with other guests at those social times. Breakfast was good with different chef special each day. The bedding was sublime- it was cotton but so soft I would swear it was silk. We both slept the best we have in a very long time. A little slice of paradise in Savannah. I. Can see why so many stars chose to stay here. Free parking on site was the icing on the cake. Thank you Ms Melissa and team.

We went to the Ballastone Inn this past June for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We could not have pick a better place to stay. The staff was wonderful and treated like royalty. They did everything for us. They were so kind and friendly. Our room was amazing. The food was great. Thank you so much for making our Anniversary so special.

Room Tip: Talk with the staff there are so many different sizes and decor of rooms.
