The tour was so interesting. Hard to believe how old and historic this Jewish group is. The museum is fascinating.

I knew that we wanted to visit Mickve Israel during our trip to Savannah and we were so lucky to be staying so close to the Temple. When you walk into the Temple, you are greeted so warmly and you just know that they are happy to have you there.

The Temple itself is beautiful and so unique looking. You are able to take phots in the synagogue. After you enjoy the synagogue, you get to go upstairs to the historical items that the temple maintains. It is amazing to see the items and know the history of the individuals who established the congregation.

I was also able to purchase a dreidel that is a replica of the temple and spoke to the woman who worked with the artist to get the dreidel "just right". It was a beautiful item that will be added to my mother's dreidel collection. Do not miss Congregation Mickve Israel in Savannah!
