“Another trip to the old river”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

WE like the ambiance and the shops. The candy is good, There are plenty of seafood restaurants. There are several tour boats leaving from the docks, There are numerous weekly and monthly activities with live music and specialty foods. There are quite a few local artists, SCAD is right down town too.

“Good Old Fashioned Touristy Fun”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

Seafood for blocks, though I was able to find a vegetarian fare. Several little gems of stores hidden amidst the biggies. We always enjoy this walk and the beautiful original brick and cobblestone walkways and alleys.

“Nice walk and great view...”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

Walk along the river and enjoy the many shops and bars and cafes...something for everyone. Wear sensible shoes because the streets are old cobblestones and make walking difficult. Many great appetizers and drinks to be enjoyed...Have a little fun.

“Pretty area”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

This is a nice area for strolling and shopping for trinkets. It's along the river and you can see the container ships come in and up to the Port of Savannah. This is an average touristy shopping area but we really like to visit every two years when we visit Tybee Beach. You MUST go into River Street Sweets and have a Praline - they are THEY BEST ANYWHERE!

Parking is a pain.l

“Go to say you've been, but you probably will wish you hadn't gone!”
Reviewed August 27, 2013 via mobile

I had heard great things from my parents who visited Savannah a year earlier. The Riverwalk is dirty, crowded, difficult to walk due to the stone streets and overcrowding. They really should close the road and make it pedestrian only. None of the shops cater to plus-size, and the shops we went in (especially some antique stores) were exorbitantly overpriced. We did not enjoy.
