“Short escape”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

This is one of my favorite places I love the shops and restaurants on one side and the river on the other. Also a great place to relax and people watch.

“Great Afternoon”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

Lots of store to browse and restuarants and bars to stop in. The waterfront is clean and plenty places to sit and people watch. Lots of people selling this which can be annoying, but none were agressive.

“New Years Eve fun”

Savannah hosts a decent NYE fireworks display on River Street. The bars were all open and a decent crowd gathered. Open containers are permitted (no glass) on the street.

“Just ok”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

A word of warning, watch your step as you descend down to River Street. It is a steep drop with narrow steps and/or cobblestone pathways. The sidewalks are also bumpy. The shops were mediocre for an opportunity with such a beautiful setting. There were many restaurants and pubs to enjoy along this stretch.

“Bring your walking shoes & your wallet!!!”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

Not a place for heels, I watched several people in wonder....the cobblestone walks are not made for it. So many local shops & boutiques plus the never ending tshirt shops not to mention candy kitchens & restaurants..there's something for everyone in your family!! Great place to watch ships come in as well & see the "Waving Girl" statue! Must see in Savannah!!
