It's so nice for rescued animals to have a safe haven to recoup, and continue their life. The caretakers take special interest in the wellbeing of these beautiful creatures. Please walk the trail, and donate generously to this wonderful organization.

First of all, we went in August (too hot and humid). i would try to go during the cooler months. Put on your walking shoes, be aware that you will be walking on woodland trails with dirt, rocks and tree roots. It is not stroller or elderly friendly. Put on bug spray because you will be in the woods. It is very interesting to read about the animals and to see them. i would take a pair of binoculars along too ,because the animals habitats are large and they can be fairly far away and blend in to the surroundings. The binoculars will be helpful. All in all, a very reasonable, enjoyable, educational afternoon. Just don't go in the middle of the summer with the heat and bugs.

This is a fun and interesting place to visit. We spent the afternoon walking trails and looking at the animals. Great way to spend time with kids outdoors without spending a lot of money.

This was real fun! It was nice to get out and walk the trails. We did not do a "meet the animals" because we didn't have a lot of time. The wolves were neat to see because you can walk in the glass area and just set and watch them. It was hot when we went so a lot of the animals were not out-but it was still nice. I'd advise you to go in the mornings when it's cool. Give yourself enough time to go through the trails and stop by the gift shop.

Try to organise your visit with one of their 'meet the animals' presentations. we were introduced to an armadillo, owl and snake. And yes ....you can touch!
