The place is gorgeous, with huge live oak trees draped in the moss. The exhibits are pretty good. The only thing is don't go in middle of the day because animals will be asleep or not in sight. Go early or later in evening. We went in middle of the day & did not get to see many animals. Overall it is a fun place for the kiddos!!

Loved all the new animals they have - it is HOT during the day & bring some bug spray! Worth the visit if you like animals (alligators, bald eagles, wolves, big cats....)

I have been to Oatland two years in a row and really enjoyed it both times, this would be a greta place for families with kids, the price is right and they have quite a few exhibits, most of the animals were in view when I was there, I got to watch two little cats romping and having a good time(bobcats I think),they have bald eagles that were in plain sight, real nice level walking path that is well marked off with a map as a guide to the exhibits. The visitor center is beautiful with exhibits there too, very nice clean bathrooms and a nice gift shop.Very nice place that my family and I will visit again!
I highly recommend that you use bug spray before starting the trail.
