“Nice museum”
Reviewed May 2, 2014

Very friendly staff, informative exhibits (I learned why "cathouses" are called CAThouses!). Model ships are quite interesting. Be warned that there are upstairs exhibits and no elevator...

“Best Collection of Ships Models”
Reviewed April 26, 2014

What a great gem in Historic Savannah. Housed in an antebellum mansion built by one of the early moguls of Savannah commerce, it comprises an impressive collection of ships models and paintings from the early days of Georgia. Themed rooms contain antebellum, Civil War and later models, as well as displays of navigational instruments, ships in bottles, scrimshaw and other nautical items. Free parking in the back, which is how you enter. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They really enjoy answering questions. Add it to your list of things to see and do when you're in town.

“Worth a visit if you enjoy ships”
Reviewed April 26, 2014

Mostly full of model ships, very well done. After 15 or 20 of them we were saturated though. The gardens were quite small, recommend a visit if you're really into ships...otherwise you can safely skip.

“Fun for Anyone...”
Reviewed April 24, 2014

They had ship models and much historical information that we didn't get in other tours. This is in a very nice garden area that is a restful place to just sit and enjoy for a few minutes.

“Nice museum and lots to see”
Reviewed April 22, 2014

Well maintained museum with lots of ship replicas. We enjoyed this museum, history lesson and there is much to see. The location was great too, as it's close to the Railroad Museum and Savannah History Museum.
