“Surprisingly Interesting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2014

Had no interest in the subject at all, but had "nautical" out-of-town visitors and took them for a visit. Surprised at how interesting it was. The ships models are fantastic and the exhibits provide many, many layers of information on many facets of life in the busy 18th and 19th century Port of Savannah. The new garden is a gem and deserves a visit during blooming season ( March thru November in Savannah). The architecture of the museum (an important historic house) is an additional feature, with faux graining and a marvelous floor cloth. Much more than expected and will be worth another visit.

“Ships!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2014

If you like Ships, don't miss this nicely done, small museum. We live on Long Island and are always interested in ships and boats and water. The details on the ship models is incredible. The story of the man who made all of them is also incredible (he made miniature models as a form of rehab). Self guided tour, but people are there to answer questions. You can also take pictures! The paintings are wonderful. We spent a wonderful hour or so there. You won't be disappointed.

Interesting history and fabulous models, was glad I stopped by. Good place to visit on a cold, wet day.

“Nice Date Spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2014

Great place to wander around with a date. The model ships that have been built are very detailed and there is good information about each one. Also, the house itself is very detailed as it is in the historic district.
