Had no interest in the subject at all, but had "nautical" out-of-town visitors and took them for a visit. Surprised at how interesting it was. The ships models are fantastic and the exhibits provide many, many layers of information on many facets of life in the busy 18th and 19th century Port of Savannah. The new garden is a gem and deserves a visit during blooming season ( March thru November in Savannah). The architecture of the museum (an important historic house) is an additional feature, with faux graining and a marvelous floor cloth. Much more than expected and will be worth another visit.
