Lots and lots of artifacts and ship models. I thought it was OK, but my husband like it a lot. The kids liked the part where they could pretend they were steering a ship. I liked the ships in a bottle and gift shop the best.

I had my wedding there for over 120 guests. Everyone was wonderful to work with. The museum was OUTSTANDING and is worth a trip for any local or visitor to this beautiful city!

The Ships of the see museum is a disappointment, reflecting little of the recent work in maritime history it simply presents well done models of ships and a very cursory local history. Many of the ship models have nothing to do with Savannah. The house, however, is one of Jay's surviving masterpieces, and while not as well preserved or presented as the Owens-Thomas house is very much worth the visit. So, Museum a 2, House a 4.

The exhibit was incredible, you could touch things, hold things and admire the work done. Being inside an historic house and able to explore the architecture was an added bonus. Be sure to walk the gardens, There were little hidden treasures in the corners.
