The Colonial Park Cemetery is in the heart of the historic district and is within walking distance of everything in the downtown area. It is open to everyone and is free to walk through. There are many historic placards explaining its relevance in Savannah's history. Many famous Savannians from the Revolutionary War era and 18th century are buried there, including Button Gwinnett, signer of the Declaration of Independence. Very pretty and park-like
