We had a great tour guide in Warren. He was so enthusiastic, knowledgeable and helpful. We got a tour of the garden area and first floor of the house. Wished we could have seen more. The home is in excellent condition, quite beautiful. The tour took 30 min...felt a bit rushed. If you have time, definitely come for a visit. If you don't want to pay for the tour, you should visit the carriage house behind which is a shop full of interesting items for purchase.

After making reservations and anticipating a long tour, we were amazed to be hurried through only the four first floor rooms. The guide rattled so fast we could hardly keep up with her. It was disappointing as all six of us had read the book and wanted more details about the house and Jim Williams. For the price we were slightly disappointed, but were happy to have seen the house.

All you get to see is the 1st floor and the rear of the home...Although interesting, I thought it was rather short. The other two floors are occupied.

This house is just wonderful! Jim Williams restored this house, and the tour of the house focuses on his restorations and his life in the house. If you are a fan of 'the book' or 'the movie,' then you will love seeing the house in which it all took place! Has a great gift shop in the carriage house where you can buy items that actually belong to the Jim Williams estate! It's a great tour and a great house, inside and out! No photography is allowed, but you won't forget the beauty of this historic home!
