We go yearly for a conference and stay in the Links townhouse. Great for families or couples travelling together. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you could possible need. The tavern is great food yet casual and affordable. The spa is consistently amazing. I have had every type of massage just about on the menu. My husband and I love to go together and just relax for several hours. The activities are great, there is something for everyone there. We have done the jeep ride, dog sledding, bowling, wildlife academy, shooting, tubing, skiing......it is all fun! Nemacolin is truly a wonderful place that everyone must experience at least once in their lifetime......and if you are lucky enough to go yearly than that is EVEN better!

Stayed for five nights on a conference trip in January 2011. The service, food and accommodations were all of a very high standard. Falling Rock is somewhat marooned a couple of miles away from the Chateau and Lodge, where the main conference facilities, but the frequent shuttle bus service negated this potential disadvantage.

During the conference, the staff were attentive and stuck to all of the varying schedules for moving rooms around to suit particular events, and service at breakfast/lunch/dinner was fast and efficient. The food was very good. Perhaps a little rich for my taste but typical of corporate USA dining (heavy, spicy soups, an abundance of dressing coating most salads), but very good desserts.

Gym facilities at the spa were excellent, and Falling Rock itself had its own gym. I didn't visit some onsite facilities like Wild Side, and there was no time for skiing or other outdoor activities. I can't comment on value since the corporate rate we got I'm sure is quite different from the standard guest rates.

It was easy to see why the company had chosen this location.

My wife and I went to Nemacolin for 3 nights in January and had a wonderful time. It was our third straight winter stay and we keep coming back for a reason. The Chateau rooms are spacious and comfortable with cathedral ceilings and chandeliers...you feel like royalty in your guest room. We have stayed in the Lodge rooms in the past and, while nice, the Chateau rooms are a significant upgrade. The spa is as good as you'll find on the east coast. We spent 5 or 6 hours in the spa on 2 separate days and probably wish we would've spent more time there. We also went tubing (last year we skiid). They offer a shooting activities, off-road driving in Jeeps and a "Dave and Buster's" type of place call Wildside, which has wall climbing, bowling, skiball and various arcade games. The list goes on. Of course, we've never been to Nemacolin in the summer, but we may do so this summer to play Mystic Rock golf course. My only slight dissapointment was the food at one of the main restaurants, Autumn. It was just average. Their other main restaurant, Aqueous, was unfortunately not open. We ate at their AAA 5 diamond restaurant, Lautrec, last year - tremendous and a true culinary and wine tasting experience...but open up the pocket book. It is worth it for sure if you can afford it. Overall, Nemacolin is in a class by itself in this area and for a short drive makes us feel like we're NOT in this area!

We were one hundred percent pampered from the time we pulled up to valet parking until we departed at the end of our trip. Every employee throughout the entire resort was professional, courteous and friendly. We were hard pressed to find any employee without a friendly "hello" or even a great big smile on their face. They made our trip by making us feel extremely comfortable.

My partner and I enjoyed our stay at this resort - it's huge, kind of like a cruise ship on land. It's pretty isolated, but it's a nice escape. They have tons of family-friendly activities, though make sure to book them early b/c they fill up fast. You could tell it was a nice place for a girl's spa weekend, a family trip, and a romantic getaway. We stayed at the lodge. Our room was nice - nothing too luxurious, but very clean and comfortable. We visited the zoo, went to the shooting range, looked at the ski resort (but we felt it was too cold to ski when we were there), and had a couples' massage at the spa which was really nice - they have a great jacuzzi and indoor swimming pool (i thought the water in the pool could be warmer in winter, but i'm sure it's really nice in the spring and summer), but the jacuzzis were gender segregated...i thought it would have been nice to have a jacuzzi i could have sat in with my partner. The food was pretty good overall, though one of the restaurants was closed one evening so like the activities, make reservations in advance and make sure you know when the restaurants are open. It was a very expensive weekend, but we knew that going into it. This is not the type of place to go to on a budget because if you do, you won't enjoy it....only worth it if you can splurge a bit.

My family and I stayed at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort this last weekend. The resort is amazing and the snow sports were fantastic. We stayed in the Chateu which was centrally located and a great experience. The room was big (and tall) with a huge chandelier which was impressive. We brought small children who enjoyed the indoor pool and childrens activities. They also learned to ski and loved snow tubing on the hill.
My wife and teenager enjoyed relaxing in the spa and were happy with the experience.

This was our third trip to Nemacolin Woodlands this year. It is an amazing place with endless, spectacular amenities. If you appreciate beauty, fine art, luxurious accommodations, a variety of activities, wonderful food, pampering, etc., you will love this place! The Chateau will take your breath away when you walk into the reception area. Notice the chandeliers, the art work, the bar with a cozy fireplace, and the helpful service provided by the staff. The rooms are equally magnificent, spotless, and most comfortable with a wonderful array of woodsy scented soaps and lotions. If you admire Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture, you need go no further than Nemacolin's Falling Water. This hotel is equally as amazing with the stonework and simple lines belonging to Wright's style. Notice the stone fireplace reaching to the top of the building. Notice the cool bar area and outside endless pool. If you are a golfer, you are in heaven! Breakfast at Aqueous is a necessity. Can you imagine breakfast being an experience? I haven't started with the activities available....something for everyone from the worldclass spa to the skiing, dog sledding, wild animal adventure, etc. They even have a place for the kids and my dog, who is a VIP (Very Important Pet)! I could say more, but how much more does one need? Amen and enjoy!
