Located at almost 2,000 feet of elevation in the magnificent Laurel Highlands that are part of the Allegheny Plateau, the air is fresh and the scenery stunnning. Notwithstanding the remote location, every amenity is there, including sporting ones not often found in one place. The people are the best thing!

My visits to Nemacolin have be spread out over 10 years. The place continues to evolve and just get better with each visit. The first week of November was just glorious with the color of the trees as we approached via the road past Falling Water. Maybe it's the weather, the water falls, the falling leaves, fall smell this time. Greeted with smiles by the valet and reservations, it was only moments to our room. How nice.. fresh clean, spacious, and of decor any other facility in the world would envy. Huge bath room, fine linens, large windows with clean curtains. Solid period furniture. The spa and the massage was terrific. Professional staff, and very reasonably priced.
With out a doubt, Greenbriar, the Homestead, and Mohonk are in a rears. Cigar bar was fantastic, great selection of cigars, I forgot mine. I can't say enough. Didn't eat here this time, but from previous experience the Sunday brunch is fantastic.
Can you tell I like this place?

My sister and I had an absolutely perfect time! The staff is so nice, exceptionally knowledgeable, and everyone there is skilled at what they do. My sister and I were at the spa and they even offered to bring us lunch over from whatever restaurant at the resort we wanted it from! So, we had chicken salads (with champagne) while we lounged around after massages and pedicures. The sommelier there, Holly, is so knowledgeable without being in the least bit pretentious. We had a blast at the wine tasting and did her wine pairings with dinner at Lautrec- totally worth it! The food was so good- we could have literally cried over it!! This will now be our annual trip together!

Nemacolin looked really nice on their web site but once on the grounds it looked amazing. There is something for everyone, hiking, biking, walking, tennis, golf , skiing, wall climbing, shooting, games, bars, restaurants. This place has it all and its all top of the line. And its only 15 minutes to Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water which is also incredible.

Recently stayed in the Falling Rock accomodations at Nemacolin. What an experience. The room was beautiful, clean and had very large bathrooms. The butler service is a nice touch. I had my clothes pressed and drinks brought in. In the morning they arrived with a pot of tea and my perordered breakfast - nice touch. The spa services were very good - have Paul do a hot stone massage on you - he was awesome. The waiting in the spa is in need of an upgrade. Not enough relaxation chairs and the couch in the middle of the room was as hard as a board - no relaxing here. It was also a little too quiet - no relaxing music to get you "in the mood". But the treatment rooms were fine. Had the 15 course chef's tasting menu at Lautrec restaurant - very fine dining and delicious. Do this one and plan to work out in the very large fitness center the next morning. Falling Rock has its own fitness center but it is pretty small compared to the one in the Spa. One of the best wine lists in the U.S. The Sunday brunch at Lautrec is pretty amazing as well. The Hardy's have also seem to have invested in a little zoo there as well. They have lions, bears, zebras, a hyena, buffalo (a white one too) and a few other animals - nice for the kids. Overall - GO!

This is a beautiful facility for a weekend getaway. The hotel staff was very courteous and eager to please. There are many outstanding dining options and actvities to fill your day. While the hotel was said to be nearly full, it did not give that appearance. We never felt crowded or our space infringed upon.

The King room was nice but did not have two stuffed chairs as shown in the internet photo. This made lounging in the room less comfortable for a couple just trying to relax away from everybody. The room cleanliness was ok but could have been better. It did not appear that the bed linens were changed each day nor did it appear that the room was vacuumed. I would expect this in a premium priced hotel.

That being said, our overall experience was excellent and we would return given the opportunity.
