exceptional in every way, we stayed at the Falling Rock Hotel, 42 rooms with butler service, you will be catered to at a moments notice, in fact every so often the butler will come to see you and ask if everything's OK. The food is all top of the line, even the hot dogs from room service were the best we ever had, I will stay again as soon as I can, please make sure you check out the shooting academy and the Spa, I would rate them as the best

Room Tip: stay at the Falling Rock

Visited Nemacolin Woodlands resort this past weekend. We had a fantastic time, so much to do and the resort is set up to accommodate all of our passions. Spa, Golf, pools and the finest accommodations we have ever experienced. The rooms at the Chateau were so spacious and well equipped...made our stay amazing. We are anxious to come back and play! Did I mention how tremendous the Golf was at Mystic Rock...WOW. The staff all throughout the resort were very professional and courteous.

Room Tip: Chateau was excellent and a great place to stay.

Nemacolin is a beautiful resort. It seems to have a lot of amenities, though we usually do not get to enjoy them. We stay at the resort 1 night per year to volunteer at a golf outing fundraiser. We have been lucky enough the past couple years to golf as well. Awesome golf courses! The beds at the Chateau are so comfortable, as are the pillows. We always get a great nights sleep. If you ever have the opportunity to stay here, I would. I hope to stay there and enjoy some of the activities one day.

Days after checking out of the Falling Rock Hotel at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort I am still telling my friends about the the level of service and attention to detail we expereienced. Every single employee was friendly, helpful, and eager to make our stay memorable. Our room was beautiful and very, very comfortable. We are definately returning in the very near future.

The property/resort is spacious and it's nice to golf and bike around the resort. However, the hotel needs major polishing. Our room at the Chateau was poorly maintained. The drain in our bathroom was clogged and the floor was dirty. I was not impressed.

This was my second time to Nemacolin but the first time for the rest of our party. It was so much fun to tour the grounds with the first timers and show them the the spectacular views and facilities.

We stayed at The Maples condos and they were darn near perfect for us. Our group consisted of my husband and I, along with my parents and our toddler daughter. The condo was in a secluded nook of the property near the ski resort and worked perfectly for our group. We had a couple cable television issues each night, and unfortunately, were unaware that there is no wifi in the condo. I was in town on business (the rest of the group tagged along for leisure) and finding out there was no wifi and limited AT&T cell service made things extremely frustrating for me from a work perspective.

My parents played golf at The Links and loved it. They're decent golfers and commented that it was the most challenging course they've ever played and well worth it. They did not use a caddy on that course.

My other biggest frustration with the resort was that some of the activities, facilities and restaurants weren't open on a Mon-Wed during the first week of June. I understand that it's not necessarily peak season just yet, but it would have been nice to know what was open and what wasn't. When we called the operators to ask questions, we got different answers depending on which person answered the phone.

When we return, we will definitely do The Maples condos again (unless I'm there for work). They provided us with everything we needed at a really great price point. The shuttles were very timely and a fantastic way of getting around the enormous property. Some drivers were better than others, but that's typical at any resort.

We tried to eat as affordably as possible, so we had dinner at The Tavern (great) lunch at The Links clubhouse (nothing spectacular) and breakfast at Autumn (very good). We also left the property to go to The Stone House for dinner one night and although the service was slow, the food was fantastic and the craft beer menu was extensive. Just have patience.

Room Tip: If you need wifi, do not stay at The Maples
