We stayed at the Lodge, room was a bit dated but big and well appointed. Our room and our friends' room had some water issues- that were immediatley addressed , the Staff is outstanding. We went on one of the last weekends of ski season- and condtions were not ideal. There is only a few hills and one lift. The ski resort is ideal for beginners- and that's about it. Let's put it this way- we live in Ohio and our skiing is better. The hotel itself is huge with lots of activities - however many of them involve extra fees. The huge kid complex on the property is a short bus ride away- kids uner 10 will love it- over that they might find it a little boring- be ready to dish out the cash there. Overall this resort is for people with lots of extra cash- probablly better to visit in the warmer months when you can walk the grounds, see the animals and use the beautiful outdoor pool.

Needed a short getaway and Snique Away led me here. It was so very nice and relaxing. Calm and comfortable. Lovely room. Wonderful Spa with Pool. Everyone speaks softly and with a smile. Can't ask for anymore!

Room Tip: Stay in the Main Bldg - very European.

I'd long hoped to visit Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa so, when an opportunity to do so became available through a discount travel site, I jumped at the chance. I decided to use this as a venue for visiting with relatives from Canada so I booked two rooms: one a suite in the Chateau for my relatives, the other a townhouse for my boyfriend and myself. First, the plusses. The Chateau suite was really quite grand, and the Nemacolin grounds and facilities -- including the on-site zoo and art collections -- are amazing. The major minus for us was the townhouse. It wasn't evident from the Nemacolin site that the townhouses are quite removed from the Chateau and "main" part of the compound, so we had to drive back and forth while we were visiting with my relatives. Then the townhouse itself was quite disappointing. The first thing we noticed when driving up were the broken venetian blinds hanging askew at the front door. The two-bedroom layout was nice and the furnishings were tasteful, but there were broken moldings, a missing painting in a bathroom, and a few other discrepancies that one wouldn't expect at an establishment of this caliber. Another minus was the mediocre service both times we ate in the "pub" dining room. So overall this was a mixed experience which is why I've rated the property as "average." Since we got our rooms at a discounted rate I didn't complain, but definitely would have if I'd paid the rack rate.

My sisters and I took our Mom to Nemacolin to celebrate Mother's Day and our birthdays. We arranged to rent a townhouse that could accommodate our party and we scheduled spa services.

We were not sure what to expect. We pulled up to a breathtaking resort. Our two-bedroom townhouse was large, clean, and offered a beautiful view of the woods. The spa will rank among our favorites. The pool was relaxing with the most comfortable lounge chairs. And the pool bar offered refreshing drinks and great service.

The property offered so many options for activities. We are planning to return at Christmas and again next spring. I am also planning to book a trip with my tennis group. Can’t wait to come back!

Nemacolin is amazing...it is very relaxing and peaceful.
I always enjoy spending the day in the spa while my husband enjoys golf.
Service is second to none.
This trip was to celebrate our Mom's birthday with all our daughters. We ALL (6) felt like QUEEN's and royalty for the weekend. Spa, pool, High Tea, the Bag Pipe at Falling Rock, dinner... We made a wonderful "memory".
I purchased for ALL a memento at the shop to remember our special time ...the Nemacolin fat bird done by Brighton with, "Nothing is Impossible" to benefit Breast Cancer... the girls loved it and wear it with special thoughts and a reminder of a wonderful weekend.
