Clean, friendly well- run hotel which was The Tremont until this year. Too bad the famous Tremont deli is no longer part of the new hotel. Great location for Johns Hopkins patients offering special rates. Long walk to Inner Harbor. Shuttle to JHMI

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your review. We now have a brand new restaurant on-site called "B'More Bistro" offering a food-and-drink menu showcasing crab-cake sliders, rockfish risotto, and Old Bay Bloody Mary's. It would be a pleasure to welcome you back again to the newly converted Embassy Suites Baltimore Downtown.

This facility bears the name of the Embassy Suites brand, but it is not a traditional Embassy Suites. This facility is in a 'historic' building, new furniture, and paint, but no real renovations (example: walk-in closit between bedroom and bath was minimum of 10ft by 8ft, but the bathroom (not counting tub) was 2ft by 3ft - you had to close the bathroom door to stand at the sink - two prople could not be in the bathroom at the same time!

My friends and I loved our stay here, this was a trip planned as a birthday treat! We are from Annapolis, so to find a place that was easy to get to in Baltimore and was easy to get to other places in the city was key. This hotel proved to be the a great spot.

We arrived on a Thursday, checked in by 5, there were no lines at the time and we were up to the room in about 20minutes. I felt as though staff was very considerate of my time and were wanting to make my stay as smooth as possible.

The room was on the 32nd floor and it was beyond my expectations. There is plenty of room for everyone to stay comfortably (4 in all) and there are many details that I now consider a must have. Plus the views of the city were amazing.

Each room was well maintained, well stocked with towels and very clean. If there was anything we needed we just asked for assistance from the front desk and they accomodated us quickly. Granted there is some construction taking place but overall it didn't impact our stay too much. There was only one notification of some issues possibly impacting our stay and it was a time frame that was easy to work around.

We were able to walk most places we wanted to visit, there were a few cab trips simply based on not knowing where to walk. It's easily a 15/20 minute walk to the Inner Harbor which was fine by us. Anytime after 12 though we did take a car for safety sake. The downfall is parking and the cost. We parked in the garage next to the hotel. By the time we went to leave the cost was $54.00 for 3 days. I don't know if that's the norm but it was more then we had anticipated.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and are making plans to use this hotel again

This was my second visit to the tremont/ embassy suites. So glad I came back for another visit. Staff is great and our suite was beautiful! Would visit again in a heartbeat. Short walk to the harbor or a cheap cab ride. Great stay and great value!

The fitness room was great - new and good equipment. The hotel is converting over from the Tremont to Embassy Suites and there was signs of construction - but understandably so. Breakfast was 6am to 9 am…seems a little too early for Sunday morning with the kids. We slept in and it was over by the time we got down there. The hotel should be great once it is finished. Valet parking was $32 and they parked the cars in the same lot next door when you could self-park for $5 for the day...seems exorbitant. Overall a positive experience that will be even better next time no that work is near completion. Try it...you'll like it.

My mom liked it a lot bc of the extra (free) amenities. The last hotel didn't include breakfast or the complimentary snacks and drinks from 5-7pm. Plus, the rate we were charged ended up being even cheaper than what was originally booked w/ HotelTonight App. Hotel room was up to par, though when asked for what type of room, we asked for a view and got the side of the building next door. Plumbing was interesting. The cold water wasn't cold, but warm. They are remodeling, so access was noisy and that was a slight inconvenience. Plus, the scaffolding was a bit scary. Parking is expensive. A/C worked well, but was noisy, and would shut off midway through the night. The hotel is a little far from the water in terms of walking distance. But maybe I was tired by the weather.
