We stayed at the Wyndham Peabody at 612 Cathedral Street, in Baltimore, MD. We went to attend a convention on the same street at the Symphony Orchestra.. Initially I tried to book for two nights and the rate was $119 plus. But my friend had a rate of $ 69 plus. When I verified with my friend, he said he had booked for 3 days and got the lower rate. The room was slightly smaller and had only a full size bed. It was clean & comfortable. The bath room was clean and had marble flooring and walls. There is a door between the wash basin and the shower room. There is no self parking available. It is only street parking or public garages not so close. The overnight parking is only through the hotel valets, and is expensive. $29 + about $ 6 in taxes. They have only a small dining room. We only had breakfast and they did not have much choices. If you are eating outside and find street parking after 7:00 PM, it is good choice. This is in the down town area of Baltimore and hence the parking problem. There is a museum parking lot next to the building and it costs only $10 for maximum. But the attendants leave by 8:00 PM. So if you check in early you can use this facility

Good Afternoon! Thank you for taking the time to write us a review! I apologize for any rate discrepancy that you came across between you and your friend. It sounds to me like your friend took advantage of our "Advanced Purchase Rate." We do offer a deeper discount (based on availability) when you book a reservation as "Advanced Purchase" however, this option does not allow you to cancel your reservation or receive a refund for a cancellation! Please take advantage of this next time if you are able!! We would love to have you back here with us:) Have a great day!

We booked the hotel because it was very central to everything yet not in the tourist area but easy to get to via the Charm city circulator bus which is free and a block away. The hotel is gorgeous. The rooms are nice a spacious. Its a really great place to stay at. The prices are a bit steep considering you really get nothing else but the bed and room but not bad cause you want to stay in the room and relax. Tips would be make sure to leave the do not disturb switch on or the maid comes knocking "crazy" on your door ready to come in.

Room Tip: Get a room that faces cathedral st.

this hotel has moved from ok rooms/poor staff to decent rooms upgrades and outstanding staff. Debbie at the front desk worked miracles for us coming in with multiple rooms and people. although only there for one night, we made the most of the hotel and abided by the check in/check out times so other guests could enjoy their stays too. The bell/valet staff were efficient and friendly. it's a great location for us, though out of the way for the inner harbor. we're definately back next year. i'm sure they're not done with all the upgrades they've got planned, but the ones they tackled first made a huge difference. this hotel is on the way back!

Room Tip: they're all unique, all have wonderful towel warmers and while i'm sure there are some bad v...

My son and I stayed a full week in a beautiful 12th floor rooms. His room had a jacuzzi tub and shower. Both rooms had a beautiful view of the Mount Washington Park and monument. Lovely marble appointments in restrooms as well as the rest of the hotel. Grand chandlier in lobby with leather seating available in the front palor. As a smaller hotel with only 104 rooms you quickly get to know the staff. Always willing to help me with directions or suggestions for sight seeing. The housekeeper figured out I was a coffee freak and I never had to ask for more. The valet, Al, went out of his way several occasions to explain public transportation.

Do not take a car, as in any big city parking is tight. Why would you? Baltimore offers free bus lines and it was a great way to take in the culture that charm city offers.

I could go on and on about how great my stay was. It's obvious there is new management about. No this isn't a resort style hotel; don't expect a pool. This hotel is five star in my book! We will be back, as we quickly decided to make it a annual trip!

We were put here after our original hotel had water and airconditioning problems. Rooms are good size and bed is very comfortable. There is a restaurant onsite with excellent food. The only downside to this place is its a little out of the way and there is not much else around and don't know if you would want to be walking around late at night especially if you were on your own.

Thank you for writing about our fine hotel. Located in the Cultural District of Baltimore and seven blocks north of the louder-life of the Inner-Harbor, our area is known as one of the safest areas in this large city. Please consider to come back to The Wyndham Peabody Court Hotel when you have more time and we will be honored to let you know all that is available to do and see in our Mt. Vernon section of town... thank you again!

The Peabody Court has charm and style that recall the old Ambassador East in Chicago and myriad other non-splashy, carriage-trade hotels. The restaurant and bar are bespoke quality, and the crab cakes here, whether made by Frances, or not, are better than Faidley's, and that's saying something. Mount Vernon is a much nicer part of town than the disney-like Inner Harbour, with all its dreck and drang. And right across from the Walter's Museum and around the corner from the Peabody Library (must-sees in Baltimore)

Room Tip: Be nice to the front desk, and they'll accommodate any request; be haughty, and not so.
