“Extremely friendly staff makes travel easier”
Reviewed June 2, 2010

Have stayed at the hotel on a number of occasions. Common areas and rooms are fairly modern and in good shape. Hallways are a little run down. Morton's in the lobby is extremely convenient, and hotel food is surprisingly good. Staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and are extremely attentive in addressing requests.

As a traveling consultant, I've sampled the hotels in the Baltimore area, and none match the service received at the Sheraton IH. They were remembering my name after my second week, and I received a personalized note and gift basket during one of my longer stays. The staff take great care of their clients, and the location can't be beat (particularly in summer - right next to the harbor itself!). For business or pleasure, this hotel provides great value for the Baltimore traveler.

I stay at this hotel quite often when I am working in Baltimore mostly due to the great service and awesome location. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff is very friendly. The location could not be better, you are in between the inner harbor and the Orioles Park at Camden Yards. Both great places to visit if you get a chance. The only drawback for me is the gym although who needs a gym when you have the best running trail around the harbor just steps away. There is a big hill at the end of the harbor as well which is great for running or biking. Also some great scenery out the windows at this hotel if you are facing either the harbor or the ballpark. I highly recommend going to a ballgame at Camden Yards...one of the cleanest, nicest parks in the country and just a few steps from the hotel. Dont forget that Mortons is in the hotel as well and have a great happy hour twice a day with food that is cheap for a good snack and great drinks.

I stayed here for a business trip. The staff working here are very friendly. We got lots of great recommendations for places to eat, and the harbor is a short two blocks away. The rooms are nice and comfortable. I had a great view of the downtown Baltimore area. We used the meeting rooms and had no issues with internet or the A/V systems. The hotel uses Bliss amenities, which are great! No need to bring your own shampoos or soaps. The towel quality varies and the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner though, so only 4 stars on that issue. But, I am surprised about the negative reviews. I would stay here again. The hotel is a $40 cab ride from the airport.

Stayed here for a week on business and was very please. This Sheraton property is very clean, semi-trendy in design and has a Morton's Steakhouse in the lobby. Rooms were spacious and quiet and the hotel's location is in a good downtown location within walking distance to everything. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel 4 years ago with 2 kids and this time, we're back with 3 kids during spring break. I booked a double room and I asked for a rollaway bed when we checked in but it was never delivered. However, the room was so small that I wouldn't know where to put it so I didn't pester them about it. We put the 2 sofa chairs together to make a bed for our 4 year old and it was fine since he's small enough...it worked fine for only 2 nights.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It's across the street from Inner Harbor and we used the hotel's skywalk to get to the Harbor most days. There are several skywalks which will lead you to Inner Harbor, another hotel, and office buildings. When you have kids in tow, it's easier than crossing the busy streets. We bought the Inner Harbor pass via website and it includes tickets to the Aquarium, Science Center, Children's Museum, and Camden Yard Sports Museum. It was a good value since one day at the Aquarium is $24+ per person!

Plenty of restaurants to choose from and we did a little shopping at the Renaissance Hotel/Mall besides the Harbor. The so called "pool" at the hotel is very, very small. It's smaller than my home pool. It's more like an oversize spa. Everyone I encountered at the hotel was very polite and helpful. We ate breakfast at the hotel one morning and the price wasn't too bad. We chose the buffet and the food was good. We self parked our car so it was a little cheaper. The rate is high but that is expected in a major city. I recommend this hotel if you don't mind the small room.
