Although all of the Inner Harbor hotels seem to be in good locations this one can't be beat - - it’s in the center of it all. It’s a four star hotel without being snobby and the rooms are of above average size. The amenities are standard except for the large flat HDTV. The pool is average but has floaties and kick boards for kids and looks out onto an interior courtyard where some people sunbath. We did not eat at the hotel as there are many restaurants in the pavilions across the street and in Little Italy, which is a 10 minute walk. The hotel is connected to a mall that has the usual retail stores and a small food court. The takeout Chinese is convenient to take back to the room if need be and Starbucks is open before the rest of the mall officially opens. Camden Yards is a ten minute walk but if you get caught in a thunderstorm as we did, a cab is only $4 plus tip. We did not have a harbor view from our room but if you can snag one it will be well worth it. Parking is $26 a night (not per day) with in/out privileges as long as you present the ticket at check-in. The cost will be charged to your room, which makes exiting easier. The rooms here are expensive but there are deals on the hotel website or sign up for Marriott Rewards for better deals - - an advance purchase in June (for a July/Aug stay) was being offered for $149 a night.
