“Nice hotel right at the Inner Harbor”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

Stayed this past weekend while visiting my son at Loyola. Larger than normal rooms and bathroom. View of the harbor across the street. Walk to everything .... Camden Yards, Aquarium, Little Italy. Not expensive and has a mini shopping mall connected to it. I recommend this hotel or the Hyatt across the street as grweat for staying at Inner Harbor.

Room Tip: pay the extra few dollars for a harbor view facing room.

Beautiful room facing the harbor and close to restaurants and great things to do all within walking distance. When you stay here you won't need a car there are free buses to take you any where in the city.

My Husband and I traveled to Baltimore and stayed at the Renaissance Harborplace hotel for one night. The check in was swift and the porter and staff could not have been nicer to us. They were very willing to help us decide where to visit first! The room was lovely and the king bed was very comfortable. We could walk out the front door and across the street to all major attractions in the inner harbor and the hotel also has a mall attached to it. Nice stores and very friendly folks all around. Had a table in their bar/restaurant that we could see the entire harbor which was so nice. Food and service was excellent.
We highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling to Baltimore. Rates were very fair and you can't get much closer to the water.

We went to Baltimore for my husband to attend a meeting. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our room which included a wet bar with microwave and mini-fridge. It was a corner room. Although we did not have an expansive view of the harbor, we were able to see it and much more. The location was superb for visiting the harbor area. The harbor area would be a great place to let kids run off some energy BUT there is no railing or wall between the sidewalk and the water. Back to the hotel - we enjoyed the Starbucks downstairs but wished that it stayed open longer. We had one meal in the hotel restaurant, Watertable, which was excellent and had a nice view of the harbor. I enjoyed roaming the Gallery mall attached to the hotel. I picked up some stocking stuffers in Francesca's. A real find was Access Health which offered acupuncture, acupressure massage, and reflexology (foot massage). I think the hotel should let people know that these services are available nearby. In short, the room was excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect.

I stayed at this location for one night and it was a near perfect experience. The purpose of my trip was for business.

SERVICE:
EXCELLENT SERVICE. From check-in to check-out. Friendly, quick efficient service with great personalities to match. T Check-in was very simple and quick. At check-out I had actually misplaced my parking ticket. The front desk attendant was kind enough to go out of her way and walk downstairs to meet me downstairs so that I could exit the parking lot with ease. Above and beyond the call of duty.

LOCATION:
Excellent location. Literally directly across the street from the Baltimore Inner Harbor and in walking distance to Federal Hill, Canton, and all of the local restaurants and attractions. You can also walk to the ball parks (both M&T Stadium for the Ravens and Camden Yards for the Orioles) which are a bit further away but still within a feasible walking distance. The Baltimore Convention Center is also a few blocks up as well. Very centrally located hotel and literally accessible to everything downtown Baltimore has to offer.

ROOMS:
This hotel was kind enough to offer me an upgraded room on the 9th floor whereby I could literally see the inner harbor and much of the city because it was a corner room with views along the entire length of the room facing two different directions. The room itself was AMAZING. I got a great night sleep here due to the very very very comfortable bed. My room also offered a nice conference area, couch, and lounge chair. The room is contemporary, neat, and very cool. One thing that offered were the "swipe technology" (that's my own verbiage) room keys where you don’t have to slide the room key in the door but merely swipe it by the pad located on the doorknob and it unlocks itself. This is the first hotel I've stayed at that offered this.

AMENITIES:
I did not have a chance to use the exercise facility or any other amenities outside of the club lounge and conference break out areas on the fifth floor of this hotel. Conference rooms accommodated hundreds of people and the concierge/club lounge was awesome. The staff person during the evening/night I visited was very good as well. Nothing but great things to say about this hotel in general.

CONS:
Parking. When I tried to check in the parking lot was entirely full downstairs and they were only allowing people to park who had monthly contracts with the parking lot. There is a parking lot directly across the street and they were full as well as one on the side of the street where Jos A Banks is located. I finally found one across the street and parked there. Parking fees are exorbitant ($19 for 4 hours).

My only negative about the hotel had to do with the bathroom. Standing at 6'4 the view of the world tends to be a bit different at that altitude and I couldn’t help but notice that there were some cracks / broken / chipped ceiling above the toilet which takes me to the last negative. The toilet height...very low toilet and for a tall guy that doesn’t work well. Nothing like going to the potty and feeling like I'm sitting in Kindergarten height chairs.

Great hotel right across from Inner Harbor in Baltimore and also connected to a mall. Top notch service from the moment you arrive. Valet attendant and doormen are quick to assist with luggage, packages and directions! Also Angie at the front desk is very accommodating and friendly as well. The concierge lounge has a nice breakfast and snacks in the evening. Rooms are updated, immaculate and with nice amenities. If you are facing the Harbor you'll have a lovely view. First floor lounge area is a nice stop after work. Ive stayed here at least 6 or 8 times in the last year while on business.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not too far from the elevators as the hotel encompasses several blocks and it can be...
